It's near the end of Season 6. One unlikely feature has me tilted more often than any other ever.

I've been a player since S2. You guys mostly already know and agree that Season 6 was the worst season to date. But honestly looking back, it wasn't so bad. There were some REALLY bad changes, but things are getting better (with confidence now!). However, one new feature implemented this Season has plagued my mind as a player to a degree no other feature ever has.

Promo Helper.

Call me boosted, call me noob. This poster forgets the names of the flamers. Honestly though, this seemingly innocent feature meant to give players a tiny boost in confidence as they slowly climb the ranks has utterly crushed my soul. Incoming rant, I guess. In previous seasons, there was no promo helper, and I always said to myself, "I didn't win the 2 out of 3 (or the 3 out of 5). That sucks, but I couldn't PROVE to the game that I should climb. Let's try again."

I thought it would be the same with promo helper except easier. It wasn't. Not one bit.

For some reason, with the inclusion of this feature, I found myself unable to climb. I've won maybe 4 promos and lost many more than 20, only recently getting back to the rank I was at many months ago. I can't win ONE game. Ever, it seems. I win two games, get to promos, lose two. Win, lose, win, lose, lose, lose, somehow get back to 100lp, and lose another two in a row. "WHY CAN'T I EVER WIN JUST ONE GAME?" I have never thrown my mouse at the wall before this season. I've done it maybe three times now. Full baseball throw at my bookcase (which covers up my wall). It's amazing that my mouse still works perfectly (seriously, shameless consumer plug/shoutout to Anker for their $20 mouse).

I got angry about a lot of things this season, but nothing has tilted me harder than promo helper. You feel like you should be able to win one game... but then you lose 20 promos in a row (literally) and then you just feel bad about ever having been a Platinum player. I mean, sure I have bad games. But getting to promos and failing to win ONE game twice in a row, twenty times in a row just feels bad. Promo Helper taunts me endlessly. "Haha Mickey you couldn't win ONE game. AGAIN! HAHA BOOSTED NOOB"
