"Lets take dragon and then mid tower" "After we take Baron we should all back and then rush top" "I'm going to farm a little more, don't engage" "Yasuo, you go top. The rest of us are going to stay here in bot" "Blitzcrank, next teamfight be sure to grab Vayne" "I'm going to roam, play safe" "Hey mid, want blue?" "Lets focus Nasus next teamfight" "Should we go for mid inhibitor or should we go straight for the inner towers?" "Top, do you want to laneswap?" "Ashe can you build a Runaan's Hurricane next?" "They have a ton of AP, so lets all build MR"

Yes, I know these are extremely specific, but that is the point. Anything more complicated than "let's kill this thing" can't be completed by just pings.

you ping 'assist me' you ping top after baron-they will back if needed- you ping 'danger' you blank ping yasuo and then ping assist top and then blank ping yas again and ping assist top

Sure pings can work in the moment if you're a master of threading them together in the heat of the moment, but planning ahead is impossible. Also, Using nothing but pings is like speaking in nothing but metaphors. Sure it can work, but there is always a chance something can be lost in translation. Sure when you blank pinged Yasuo and then pinged assist top Yasuo went top, but so did the rest of your team.

Besides, when did lower Elo teammates ever pay attention to pings?

If you've ended up muted, you earned it. If that's a problem, you should consider why you're being muted.

If that answer is because of the other player, well, it sounds like you couldn't change them then and you won't change them now.

I feel like those messages you think can't be communicated by pings only show how: A) You don't use pings yourself, therefore, you don't know what they could be used for B) You're unaware of the ping changes, and the larger versatility being added (Ex: Pinging amounts of gold, Timers, etc.) C) You shouldn't mute everyone if it's such an issue, only specifically toxic individuals. I have yet to be put into a game where /muteall is ever needed
