We should probably nerf her just to be sure though. How about reducing the number of targets bouncing blades can bounce to, and removing her ward jumping abilities.

Katarina is a champion that is extremely touchy in terms of balance and I honestly think Riot is afraid to touch her numbers even if/when she does need adjustments because of it. Buff her in the wrong way, and she's pick/ban. Nerf her in the wrong way and she's Yorick-tier. I can't really think of any other mid lane champion that's on such a fine line in terms of balance. Akali maybe?

This is absolutely true. Kat main here. We (Kat mains) constantly talk and argue about how Kat could be changed in an healthy way but we are unable of finding solutions.

That being said, I do think that having Kat having the fourth lowest health regen in the game, while having the lowest hp of any melee assassin and being a mid lane champion is a bit extreme. It really feels like my health does not regen at all, it is frustrating to see the opponent heal up your Bouncing Blades damage, while you cannot heal up an auto attack coming from an AP champion. Other than that until her rework I have no problems.

Her playrate is insane atm because a new skin is coming out. Other than that her winrate (which is normally higher than it is atm, winrate has gone down because of the skins coming out) comes from the fact that most people who play Kat in ranked, over platinum are katarina OTPs, which are people who rely on knowing their champion better than the opponents know their own.

Even Scarra, a Katarina enthusiast, and ex main, has stopped playing her because of how bad she is right now.

This skin is also insanely hyped. Her normal playrate is around 3% (15-17th most popular champion) now it is at 7%(7th). This is due to the skin coming out, and nothing to do with OTPs.

What OTPs have to do with Kat, is her great winrate, the majority of people playing her in platinum+ are OTPs, which inherently raise an average winrate.

That is why champions with higher playrates have winrates closer to 50% generally and also the reason this patch Katarina's winrate has gone down, as her playrate has went up.

You will see, whenever the skin actually comes out the playrate will increase even futher.

Let her Zhonya's in her ult and after she hits an enemy with an ability or basic attack after Bouncing Blade, the target takes a 10% max health true damage DoT as well as increasing damage taken from other sources except Katarina's by 5%.

Increase her movement speed to 350 and her attack range by +100.

ehh.... her ult is mostly used mid game to be honest, late game she is more dependent on her basic abilities since they have enough damage to kill squishies yet are not so suicidal as her ult

Honestly, with how hard she can snowball, instead of straight buffs, I'd rather see her get a rework and become less snowballs, but have more consistent assassination potential

As someone who really likes Katarina, even tho I am mostly a Jungler so I don't play her, I have to say that she doesn't really need any kind of a buff. Katarina deals insanely high damage and is the champion with the best pentakill potential in game. I would rather say that meta simply doesn't favor her...well...the last few metas tho which sucks but it doesn't means that Katarina won't shine anytime soon. Who knows, honestly I thought KhaZix is dead and yet he is a good pick again.

Katarina as low base damages, and low scaling outside of ult, unless she is extremely ahead, she cannot quite assassinate, and unlike most assassins, her early game is atrocious. Her early game might actually be the worse in mid lane, this comes from the fact that she is a melee ap champion, with really low health, and the fourth lowest health regen in the game.

Shunpo is already the best blink in the game sans Riftwalk. Why would it need more range? My goodness. 700 range instant blink and you're still not happy. I love Kat, but no, Shunpo is amazing as is. What needs help is her Q. And maybe make W something else not instant damage so people have a chance to react. And then in return it can be stronger.

I would completely agree, though she is in the assassin rework so she'll get her pay. As of now she is outclassed by many other assassins, ap or ad, she is a melee champ so she can be easily bullied in the laning phase, and her only gap close isnt a skill shot. Above all (although no one will agree) she's kinda hard to play, her abilities may be easy but using them correctly as well as positioning can make her hard to control.
