Can you skip division?
So i've been on a huge hot streak like 9 games won in a row. Currently gold 5. Can i skip to gold 3? How about gold 2?? F it, can i skip to plat? Seems like gold is easier than bronze and silver.

You can skip single divisions not sure about multiple, but you need to have mmr thats like a LOT higher.
You can indeed skip divisions, and if you were placed way low compared to your skill level it is highly likely you'll skip some. I don't think you can skip out of tiers though, I skipped gold 3 last season and continued the win streak through my promos. According to op.gg I should've skipped gold 1 and gone straight to plat, but I don't think you can skip the highest level of each tier. There should still be some nice shortcuts though if you keep winning consistently.
I have skipped a single division twice. Both times I was getting 26 LP per win and losing 14 LP for losses. As far as I can remember, those are the only times I have ever gained 26 LP going into series so that seems to be the threshold for skipping divisions.
Where was this system when i got a 20 game win streak? Cuz it sure didnt happen for me last season
I skipped Gold 4, 2 and Plat 4 but that was right after 10/0 placements and a 32 game winning streak sooooo....
It is possible but you can never skip more then 1 divison at a time and I dont think you can skip the divison 1
And you have to have WAY higher MMR than your current rank
Skipping happens quite a bit early on after placements since MMR and rank is so disconnected. Happened last year to me on 2 accounts, havent played enough this season to see yet though
opgg says your mmr is where your rank currently is though so i dont think you'll skip
