Lately I'm stuck in a limbo of getting promoted, winning a game a the next elo, losing to get back down to 0 lp, and then losing my next match booting me back to down to where I came from. Since we have to prove ourselves to get promoted into a division, isn't it only right that we should be protected for a certain amount of games or be given another series to prove we belong there before we're demoted?

I don't consider 4 games to be "a lot" or a large enough sample size to be demoted considering all the things that can go wrong in a game.
and also if that is your logic then I should be able to get to 100 lp and just win a game to be promoted because I "won a lot" and I "held my own there."
