LeBlanc Kit Changes
If Riot is aiming for a 2nd rework with LeBlanc, I think it would be insightful to think through these changes and see if it helps her a bit. My goal is to have LeBlanc keep her deception theme, and still being able to maintain her assassin playstyle that she has been struggling with.
I honestly think the core problem at the moment is her new Sigil of Malice. Her passive. I think this is the part that really gave most of her kit unnecessary boost. Not so much with the Q as it still resembles old LeBlanc's single target forte which is her initial and common playstyle.
The passive really needs to go. It is the most problematic one. It enabled her to waveclear when it's really unnecessary of her to have given she's an assassin (or supposed to be) and she farms champions (or used to be)
It enabled her too to one shot squishies with (Just) hitting Ethereal Chains. I think that her one shot should happen in rotations, not in a single initiation, so a couple of hits should do it. The only instance that it is allowed is if she got her well deserved kills and is very ahead with her items.
Then the passive really ruined the state of her basic abilities.
Because of her passive that gave her waveclear, the Q bounce on targets got nerfed and is possibly getting nerfed again. The first nerf to it was necessary because it could literally sweep a whole wave from early levels, but the consideration of nerfing it again might be too much. I know it got buffed back a bit but i feel as if they're going live with the pbe nerf. (Overall in a nerfed state, but more stable)
Because of her passive, distortion damage got cut in half. It's basically very equal to an auto attack damage. This is also because distortion's base damage helped the passive clear the minion wave.
Because of her passive, Ethereal Chains no longer applies a slow. This is a fine case with the existing passive.
I think these changes would be considerable, but feedback is always appreciated.
Sigil of Malice is removed and is replaced with current Mimic's clone mechanic only a bit merged with the old passive.
This is rough number so suggest a more appropriate timer.
Every 20 or 30 seconds. ''It could also scale per level'' Casting an ability will spawn a clone that also does whatever ability LeBlanc just used and lasts for 8 seconds. When the clone spawns, it stands still after it just casted its fake ability and you could control it with Alt just like previous LeBlanc. You also of course briefly go invisible. Keep in mind again that the damage passive is gone. Passives don't always have to be about damage.
So in compensation for the lost passive, you could buff her basic ablities' base damage again, but not as strong in scaling as the live passive.
The interesting part would be, you could chain clone summonings with Mimic. With your passive up, you could activate current mimic and cast W and spawn 2 clones with you. Also keeping the global mimic double cast. Mimic damage could be up a little because it should noticeably have more damage than the basic ones.
I think to not make a huge abuse of this for those who go AD LeBlanc, the clones should not deal any damage because having 3 Full AD LeBlanc's dealing damage is just ridiculous.
I have to stress this out again that with the additional deception tools, she doesn't have that ridiculous damage passive anymore.
Or maybe since I have mentioned the difference between basic ability damage and mimic damage, maybe then you could only apply current Sigil of Malice passive only when you use Mimic. This might get Mimic into an overloaded state, but if it's proven too much then just don't add it.
