i should be allowed to afk when the bot lane feeds vayne
cause the game is over anyway there is no counter play for top laners you just lose about the most retarded thing to deal with the supports are just too strong so she might as well be a tank

I think you may find that the majority of the playerbase and Riot disagree with that opinion.

Wait, you're complaining as a top laner? Beef up, get your items, and split push hard. Draw out the game as long as possible so your team can catch up. Also stop whining, you're making us top lane mains look bad.
i mean top lane has very little impact in this meta and you need to be extremely good to be able to carry. (I'm not advocating the post's opinion, though)
It's more of a game knowledge thing I think. There are easy roams you can do to help impact the game early on, but no one wants to do it. They just sit top lane and try to play like it's season 3, and complain when it doesn't work out.
The main thing people need to realize is top lane hasn't been an island in years. Some games will let you successfully pull off that old style of play, but if you're not rotating in the current meta you're doing something wrong. You don't have to go hunting for kills, it can be something as simple as going mid to cover your mid laner's tower when they roam bot (mid tower is more important than top tower after all).
Top lane has definitely changed, but if you manage to change with it you can do quite a bit for your team.
is in a pretty good spot if you like island top gameplay imo.
Yorick is fantastic at pushing objectives, and I'll admit he is one of those champions who can just sit top all game, but he is far more effective when he rotates after taking his tower. Pushing down every outer tower before moving to the inner ones (unless an obvious opening is there) gets his team a bunch of gold, which helps his team ramp up and do their own things while Yorick pushes alone.
He's definitely good on an island, but I think he is honestly better moving around the map with the goal of taking every tower as fast as possible.
Oh I think he works great in a team, Maiden gets more up time if there is other targets to focus or can split push a lane as he supports teamfights. I just think that far as island champions go if your gonna be trying to win off not helping teammates, Yoricks one of the best options as he has viability solo or grouped. Other split tops seem to suffer in teamfights , other ones who can be strong in teamfights struggle in 1v1s or are very item reliant for waveclear/towerclear.

thats not a meta. thats team deatmatch. or aram on summoners rift, if you will. this game hasnt had an actual meta in years. game just keeps getting shorter and shorter. and with that, comes less strategy and meta
