pre-order items before backing to base

So i was just thinking last night while i was shopping for items in lane and such, wouldn't it be cool and convenient if i could pre-order this item, then when i back, if i have enough gold, it would auto buy it! It's nothing too special and it's not that time consuming to just buy it when you arrive, but i feel like i could have my entire loadout "pre-ordered" if i knew what i wanted to build, and just back without having to search for the items. Thoughts?

extra note after some discussion: perhaps add a 10 second undo timer, when leaving base for those who aren't paying attention and may have decided they don't want the pre-ordered item and forgot to cancel the pre-order, or accidentally leave base by auto walking: "would you like to undo your purchase?" with a yes/no button, like a surrender vote.

Pre-order Culture is getting out of hand.

As an Ekko player I would exploit the fuck out of this

  1. pre-buy
  2. recall
  3. hit R
  4. zero lost lane time

You can do that now but it's wayyyy harder

I don't trust the shopkeeper.

Items sets mostly cover this but I'm not against this functionality.

Yes, yes and yes! I'd really love to see this implemented.

yeah, but then that promotes less on the fly strategy. it works for inflexible people, but for those who are trying to counter build and such it's just something that wouldnt be used.

cool idea though.

Why?

Assuming you still get the final say in what you buy and when, this is a good idea.

Ordering item sure but the Undo button is meant for people who stay on the platform. No 10 second timers after buying.

What if you were able to set the pre-order during the b animation?

Velasan6/22/2017, 3:57:53 AM1 votes

This feature already exists, I don't remember what buttons you use for it, but it's like ctrl something or other and it auto buys the item you clicked on when you recall to base.

Funny that it is so underused people don't even realize it is in the game.

It might be nice in some scenarios. It might also lead to more "window shopping deaths".

Sounds like pretty much the same convenience as custom itemsets - and you can do those in the new client now. When backing, all you have to do to get what you want is right-clicking on the items from your already preset list.

I like the idea but at the same time I feel like a lot more people would be caught buying In the shop and enemies would abuse that, yannow?

If they tied this into custom item setups in client I'd cry because that would be amazing. It's pretty annoying to navigate the shop when you're looking for something out of the ordinary, and that eats up time. Pre-ordering items and being able to connect that to an existing build set you designed yourself would feel great.
