So, trying to get friends into this game, and they're just constantly being queued with obvious smurfs or sometimes matchmaking gives up entirely and is sticking level 5s and 20s with silver and bronze players. Making it really hard to get friends into this game.

Cind3rkick1 votesLevels 1 to 10 is bad, thats because everyone starts at the same MMR and smurfs havent gotten high enough yet to be unavoidable.
The reason they still encounter smurfs is because you would also be smurfing to plat with them, therefore you will be matched with smurfs.
Ashe mage AD1 votesYou should stick with bots for a while. it's the only legit way I can think of to actually get into the game as a new player without having to face these frustrations and even then you're only avoiding it in hopes of being better prepared for it later.
TortillaThePun1 votesit takes a while but there is an mmr because everytime I've made a new account it litterally becomes impossible to level outside of playing against bots because it takes like 20+ mins to find a regular game with other smurfs.
