ELO boosters and smurfs making it hard to climb

This isn't a post to make an excuse for why I'm currently Bronze so please don't flame.

When I first started playing this season, I was put in Bronze III. I climbed rather steadily (but consistently) until Bronze I promos. Then I lost those, went on a huge losing streak, and now I'm stuck back in Bronze II and can't get out.

There seems to be a ton of smurfs/ELO boosters. It seems like every other game there's one, two, or even three players on the other team that walk all over our entire team. They play WAY beyond their current elo's skill level (Bronze II), and this causes me to look them up. Without fail, I find these people to have just barely picked up a champion without any prior games played with that champion (normal or ranked) and ridiculously long win streaks with close to perfect KDA's. Then of course, when you call someone out on it they deny it completely. If you don't call them out in game, however, they'll send you a message at the end of the game sending you a link to their boosting website and recommending that you try it "since it's cheap atm".

And before anyone makes the excuse that most players were placed lower than last season, that argument doesn't hold up. That would make sense if I was in Gold, and low Diamond/high Plat players were walking all over us, but not low Gold or high Silver.

Someone recommended I stop playing for a month or two while ranked gets settled in and the chaos dissipates a little.

Just for the record, I was Silver II last season.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is this a regular occurrence?

P.S. If nobody believes me I can provide tons of links to accounts that I'm sure are being boosted, as my match history is full of them.

But it also makes sense. If they are playing the same champion and going 5-11-2 one game for example, then all of a sudden they master the champ and can get 20 kills with little to no deaths, it's worth looking at imo.

EDIT: This is meaning that they can do that good for games on end.

Someone getting fed doesnt mean elo boosted. It's so incredibly easy to have a 2-0 ADC or midlaner snowball and be 10-0 5 minutes later.

Yea I feel that. Back when I was in bronze in S4 I bumped into Boosters and smurfs all the fucking time. It was rough :( The only solice i can offer is that hopefully, you'll have someone who's smurfing on your team about as much as the enemy team does.

Best of luck man :S
