How is this even "good" matchmaking.

That HAD to have been normals. Ranked and normal MMR is separate.

I've played against Annie Bot in normals. I think I was unranked fresh out of leveling. I didn't even know who Annie Bot was. I do now...

it isn't. I've been in games on both sides of games like this and it's stupid as hell. Unsatisfying stomp win or completely crushed is no fun at all

I can only assume this is in Normals because you'd never see that big of a gap in Ranked. In which case, your Normal MMR is separate from your Ranked MMR.

hey.. in my unranked game about 1/4th of the time i dont even get lvl 30s on my team.. and even the people who ARE level 30 half the time don't have full run pages.

you have to deal with "gold players" when your diamond... i have to deal with players who go support and still dont have a item 2049 or have bought a single ward even though were are 40 min in becuase they "didnt have the gold" and were too busy building item 3041 on thier supportTeemo

I (we) tend to have the kind of matchups from time to time. If enemy team Diamond4 Fizz is 7-0 by 15 minutes and is snowballing the shit out of every other lane, we usually play the waiting game until 20. Let them have the joy of hitting minions and towers for the remaining time until then. Nice try Riot matchmaking, try again.

me and my friend are in bronze when they had the ip gain for the new dynamic draft mode or whatever and faced some guy who is still in challenger series. he has the name QQ something, was a kha'zix main. i looked him up before the game, and i told are team once we loaded in, and everyone was afk but us in bot lane. it was very unfair how we had no one above bronze 3 yet on the other team they had a master vlad, challenger kha, diamond 2 top laner and diamond 5 bot lane, which, idk wasn't worried about rank, i just play the game, but i guess that draven was pretty good, cause he made us hug tower.

but anyway i feel for you

Kr1sys3/16/2016, 3:02:21 PM1 votes

It's a normal game, they made them have separate MMRs because reasons. Doesn't change that putting people that are master or diamond tier players up against silvers and unranked in the same match against each other less silly though

HoodRatTingz3/16/2016, 5:31:12 PM1 votes

yeah this happened to me once. im a bronze for a reazon.

Normals, ofcourse

BadmoonBC3/16/2016, 5:51:17 PM1 votes

had fun ?

DeynaTaggerung3/16/2016, 11:13:20 PM1 votes

Most master/diamond tier players only play ranked. So when they do occasionally play a normals game their MMR is actually really low, since it's separate from their ranked MMR. Not really a whole lot Riot can do about that, tying Ranked MMR to normals MMR would be unfair for everyone else

Coach Ferret3/16/2016, 11:26:04 PM1 votes

Here's my problem. Your team has 4,268 MORE games played than the enemy. That's approximately 2,000 hours more experience in the game. You have 2,000 hours more exp, they have higher ranks. I'd say that's even. But even then. Let's pretend it was even. You can learn from it. Learn your mistakes. I've laned against a few Challenger players in my time being only plat/D5, and I've thoroughly enjoyed the ass whooping every time because I learned from it. I learned the matchup, some mechanics, and that I still have lots of room to improve. Just get better dude

Chivie3/17/2016, 1:02:21 AM1 votes

I played over one thousand normals and then one day I came to the conclusion what a horrible mistake it was. The reason why I felt that normals are a complete utter waste of time and effort is what you have showed above. At the very least most of the players in that game are good at the game. There worst of the worst situations is to have a gold players against a bronze V player in mid lane who just can't handle it. To be fair it wasn't the bronze players fault too. He was doing everything right, like playing a practice game trying to get better. Yet the gold player completely stomped him with me basically babysitting him the entire game as the jungler. We lost of course, and that's when i realized that normals do not, and will never prepare you for ranked matches because you are either much better than your opponent or your opponent is much better than you.

Then there are those who treat normal games like a complete joke and troll them "just for fun."

My advice, if you care about your elo in ranked, but still want the best quality matches you can have at your skill level then make a secondary account unlock 16 champions to dedicate yourself to. Use that account to just play and improve without ladder anxiety. You will improve at a much faster rate if you limit your champion pool and play against people of your skill level while becoming better organically.

It's an unranked match.

Therefore that rank you are referring to isn't taken into consideration (Duh).

46104328_DEL3/16/2016, 4:14:43 AM1 votes

Ok, for everyone saying this is Normals so who cares, how many normal games did you play before you went ranked? Would you have played if you had been diamond stomped every game? This is why games that give a shit have a ranking system even on their unranked. Your 'Player games' if you will. Ones meant for fun, not ranking.
