i just want to know if there's a way to gank early.
Yes, yes there is.
You walk into lane and attack the enemy champion.
Just becaue Shyvana isn't the greatest ganker doesn't mean you want to abstain from ganking completely.
I've...killed champions as a jungler after missing every skill and just auto-attacking them a few times. 2v1 OP.
Just be smart about when you go in.
Also - one of the main advantages of a jungler is applying global pressure.
- You want to show up to countergank.
- You want to apply some pressure early. What Shyvana lacks in raw ganking power she more than makes up for in clear-speed so she actually has the time to help other lanes, and help with full health.
- If one of your allies has solid lockdown/innitiation/CC potential, they can also pin down an enemy long enough for the 2 of you to take them out.
- if an enemy is already committed to a fight because your allies got in trouble or you coordinated with them so they'd bait a gank, you can kill someone with Shyvana's lacking gank potential.
- A 2v1 is going to favor the 2.
Not to mention you can accomplish a lot of things just by showing up in your opponent's lane. If an opponent knows there's a chance you could be lurking in the shadows and strike, they're probably going to be less likely to push really hard and make really aggressive plays that could easily result in them dying if you did happen to show up.
Which can relieve a lot of pressure for your allies, translating directly into less zonning and kill threats from your opponents, and more accessible CS.
Anywas - Shyvana is obviously a farm-heavy jungler that's all about fast clear times.
And junglers arguably get an unfair share of blame.
But as a jungler, you have a significant amount of influence on how the early game for your entire team is going to play out. Removing global pressure on your allies and applying pressure on your enemies isn't just a nice side-benefit other junglers can do, that's a key part of your lane position and your job.
And just forcing a favorable 2 vs. 1 is often enough to cause that to happen.
