Is comeback possible in league?

Match 3992571749 - Overview

So basically what I am wondering is why is there a surrender button in league of legends? In dota 2, I have had games where even though my team was behind on kills, and the enemy was ahead, we still end up winning. Is such a thing not possible in league? Basically when ever I would see people begging for a surrender button on dota 2 forums, they would say that league has one, so dota should have one too. However, other people would say that comeback is possible in dota 2, unlike in league, and that in league, there are sitcuations where you would have zero chance to comeback. IS that statement true?

A comeback is always possible in this game. I just feel that a comeback is mostly out of your control. What i am trying to say is that, if an important player overextends/misplays and dies, you have a decent chance of coming back. Or if you have an excellent teamfight you can comeback.

Most of these situations leave you at the mercy of what other players decide to do, and all you can really do is just make sure you dont make the first mistake.

You can always win a game, but the reason a lot of people would rather surrender is because we hate relying on random people and their decisions. When your gameplay experience is dictated by random people rather than yourself, the game becomes less fun, and feels less worth while.

I think a lot of people would rather continue to start new matches until they have a match where they can actually snowball and have an impact on the game.

I am not saying i agree with this mentality (i hate it), but i do believe this is the reason for all the defeatist attitudes you can see here on the forums and in the game.

you are always able to come back as a solo player and even as a team ... but you really need to try hard for it and focus ... plus negativity will make you lose no matter what ...

Yes it's true. Come backs were a thing back in Season 5 though.

When the probability of a comeback is 1%, I would rather just move on to the next game and fix the mistakes that put me behind. Instead of wasting another 20-40 minutes. That is a looooooooooooong time to play a game that you know you will lose anyway and that is a miserable experience. Especially if you only play team reliant champions who have no carry potential.

They recently nerfed inner turrets substantially, making it harder to stall out for the late game comeback after gold has equalized.
