Idea for support Items.
Everyone complains about how support takes kills and how they do not need them. AND I COMPLETELY AGREE. I have always said that it would be cool if all kills supports got went to the ADC or whoever is closest to the support if they accidentally last hit the person.
Now I have always been told it was a "horrible Idea" or that it would "kill" mage like supports (Lux, Brand, Vel list goes on). But no ADC EVER wants there support getting the kill. They would rather have the kill.
I think it would be fun if we adapted the Idea they put for one of Pykes passives where if he gets the kill whoever before him last hit the champion gets the gold.
So I have come up with a couple of Ideas I think would be fun.
#1 Create one support starting item that binds you to a player like a Kalista.
Yes it seems insane but after binding you would be given the option between the 3
starting items for support and those would be locked into your inventory like
so that no matter what you would not be able to replace it with something else in the future. This would both force supports to always have wards on them (if upgraded OFC)
and also add a unique passive that whenever you get a kill near that ally it would automatically give them the gold and kill participation kind of like
passive vs minions. (this idea is open for tuning OFC)
#2 One of Pykes passives....
Just make it like how Pykes ULT passive works where if you get the kill as Pyke the gold goes to whoever last hit him before Pyke killed him. Or make it like how Ganesha's passive is on Smite. He is unable to get kills so long as an ally is near him. If he kills a person it will act like
passive and send the gold to the closest ally. Of course all this would have to be exclusively applied to all of the support items. If not all since
gives the most overtime gold you could make it a passive exclusive to it.
If anyone else has any good ideas please post them here. I would be glad to read them and it would make for great theory crafting.
