Why is teemo so dominant in solo que

I personally consider Teemo to be one of the worst champs in the game. Not because he owns me in games, but quite the other way around. I feel like he is less countered by champions or playstyles, but by ITEMS. I get pink ward and oracles and teemo is friggin useless. On top of that he's a squishy little bastard. If Teemo is running away its safe to say he's got a mushroom, so don't chase him. I destroy him every time. Don't know why people hate him. I'd hate to play as him, but aside from that... he's poop :(

His hatred is a meme in LOL community, but i have to admit he's one of the most scumbagiest champions in the game. And a giant middle finger to auto attack reliant champions.

shrooms are pretty poop ever since rito nerfed their duration by 50%

And this was after a 50% damage nerf which happened before that

After that he didnt see any play anymore untill the minirework which did not really give him any power. He is still played very little and is pretty much utter shit.

Riot could at least buff the shroom duration again.

Because many games end literally at the end of the laning phase in soloQ.

If you pick a laner that can just hunker down and then make plays across the map, Teemo is actually useless.

He's strong against AA-based champs (very common in the meta right now)
He's very easy to play
He's not good in teamfights so normally just split pushes all day. You can go 0/10 with him and still exert pressure via his shrooms and pushing a lane. There's a general expectation, like with Trynd or Singed or Heimer, that you won't be in too many teamfights and will keep pushing lanes. It doesn't make him a good pick by any means, but it's very simple and doesn't involve working with a team (which is common in Solo Q anyway).
