I Had to Quit Bottom Lane(ranged support sieger/hard support)

This season I had to quit bot lane because of how toxic it was.

  1. There are fill-ins that have absolutely no clue how to play either ADC or Support. I could be playing perfectly, and they would not know how to combo their abilities.

  2. Aggression is punished via teleport ganks, roaming ganks, and jungler ganks. Basically, everyone else on the map wants to kill you and there's nothing you can do except play scared and pray your lane mate is not stupid.

  3. Win the lane = meh You would think winning a 2v2 lane would have a BIGGER impact that a 1v1, but that usually is not the case. Yes, bot lane can wreck house, but any sort of kill streak will get interrupted.

  4. The ADC's that are popular now all have some sort of built in distancing or zoning tools, anyone else is basically boned because everyone wants that sweet ADC *****.

  5. ADCs are still absolute garbage without decent farm, and only when the team huddles around can an ADC flourish if they have excellent positioning. I cannot stress this enough that in order to play ADC you can't make any positioning mistakes. It's not like Fizz where you can troll poll out of any situation, or Ali who ults and tanks all the damage. Bad positioning = no forgiveness. This is just bad design, and in soloque where your on a team with 4 different set of strategies, things don't usually click! For how much work an ADC has to do just to become a carry in the late game(not a hyper carry mind you) its sort of pitiful.

  6. Bot lane is like a seasaw: somebody is going to tilt. Bot lane could be winning, but everyone else is feeding. Bot lane support could be excellent, but the ADC is playing twitch for the first time. Bot lane could be good, but the junlger comes and feeds. Or, bot lane is stalled for 20 minutes straight until there's a cheeky teleport gank from the top laner.

  7. Babysitting an ADC for 15 minutes is really boring. The relic shield's health procs make trades pointless at times because they can just heal up. I hate having to sit and wait for 20 minutes just so one team can finally take a tier 1 bot tower.

  8. Playing ADC from behind is the worst due to how unsafe farming is, and if you HAVE to fight then you don't do enough damage to make assassins think twice before jumping on top of you.

  9. Late game ADCs SHOULD be able to 1v1 anyone, but they cannot. This is really really SAD, when you compare this to Dota 2 where any late game champion can not only 1v1, but they can 1v2 or 1v3 LEGIT. Maybe ADC is the wrong name, maybe we should call ADC's ranged support siegers because they have to follow the team around to get anything done.

  10. For all of the kiting skill you need to play ADC, you would think Riot would REWARD skill, and not ignore it. Playing any other roles is twice as easy as ADC. I'm not saying this to start a flame war, but its true.

  11. After switching to a top/mid cue preference, the game impact I have now is at least twice as good as before.

I did exactly the opposite. Playing top lane made me so toxic that I switched to support only. It made me by far less toxic and I'm not that mad losing games. Whereas in top lane, you get ganked once and you lose lane. Especially vs. those bullshit champs like darius/irelia/fiora/jayce, etc. Even if you win lane and they go full tank, they're more useful than you if you're playing someone like wukong.

If I get ganked I try to play passive. The thing with bot lane is that if your ADC is bad then they will just continuously feed and you have no control over it.

Varus : Bot lane gives the only thing I want, death

Lucian : I remember a match in bot lane, it was hell on earth

Sona : (Scared Strum)

Ashe : Holy shit! Someone who knows Dota 2!

Yeah, I know that feeling. I started out as an ADC main and got tired of my Janna support not doing anything all lane phase except the occasional shield and then just letting the enemy Rengar jump on me and then using ult after I'm dead to prevent him from escaping so my team can kill him.

Switched to support mostly cause of autofill and played traditional supports until I got tired of my ADC not knowing what to do despite me using my entire kit to lock down the enemy ADC.

I've literally become a Brand support One Trick simply because 1) my teams like all AD comps for whatever reason, 2) if I land an EQW combo, it just requires my ADC to hit them once or twice to get the kill, and 3) I'm not totally team reliant like a traditional support is. Granted, it's hard carrying a game as Brand support, but not like it would be as Soraka or Nami. Plus having a 6/0 Brand and a 0/0/6 ADC isn't as bad as a 6/0 Soraka.

Brand support is really good at the moment because you can carry out of support, and then the ADC becomes position 5.

Yeah, that was some of the reason I picked him. The funny thing is I never intended to be a Brand OTP, but I just had so many games where my team doesn't pick any AP that I had to find someone who did moderate AP damage with no items and his new passive was perfect for that.
