I mained Rengar top all through his cancer years when the redpot all in and the 9 pot starts were not unheard of. Since his kit changes, he's not really a worthwhile top laner, but he's gotten better in the jungle. So I've taken the stabby tabby there as well, only to have my ganks feel like utter shit and my clears feeling much the same. It was OK at the start when assassins were all the rage, but now with the cinderhulk addition, he doesn't measure up at all.

So I've gone back to the drawing board to try to improve my play and I was hoping to get critiques here.

So usually I go straight for item 3707 , but now I'm thinking that might be wrong and that I may delay it until further in the game, opting to get other items instead. After I get item 3707 I go for either item 3074 or item 3142 . It used to be item 3142 every time, but now it feels like by the time I get it I'm too far behind for it to have an impact. I've started going item 3074 first but even then I'm not having much success. Hence my idea to forgo item 3707 and just sit on the item 3706 to spend money on something else instead.

First of all he is a trash jungler. Only reason you play him at jungle is the same as Wukong since they both have almost exclusively losing matchups at toplane.

2nd if you want to play glasscannon rango do it at top. Jungle makes him gold starved and he is better off building cinder with tank items as well.

3rd do not use empowered W in jungle. It sux. The heal what it gives barely worth it. Use the emp Q to get the massive AA resets and steroid and burn through the jungle. Ppl can't understand that using empowered Q and empowered W will result in almost the same amount of hp (albeit minimal less with Q overall) but the extra speed what Q gives is invaluable. There is a huge difference between a 7min lvl6 rango and a 8min lvl6 rengo.
