An idea for sightstones
- Whenever you place a ward, it starts charging.
- When it sees an enemy champion for the first time or after 30 seconds, it stops charging.
- When it sees an enemy champion for the first time it applies a hidden debuff to that champion, with a duration that scales with the amount the ward had charged.
- This debuff grants bonus move speed to enemy champions (i.e. champions on the warding team) that both have a Sightstone and are moving away from the debuffed champion.
Most of that is invisible. What the players would actually see is that when a ward sees somebody coming, the guy with the sightstone gets a buff to his move speed to run away.
The idea is to give supports a bit of a personal bonus for warding correctly, by making it a little bit easier for them to evade ganks. But it's only a personal bonus for warding, so it does not contribute to the mindset that the support has to be a ward caddy for the entire team. The mechanics are intended to only grant the bonus if you have prepared for a gank - you can't just drop a ward during a fight for an instant MS boost, because zero charge time means zero duration which means zero MS boost.
