Luden's a complete junk

Ludens is actually really strong.

In terms of utility, what would you propose that it should be doing? The mechanic to this item seems to revolve around mages that are rewarded for movement, including spell combinations. (Fizz, LeBlanc, Katarina, Nidalee and Lulu come to mind right now). Try being more objective about what makes it frustrating, then help us see what you can do to alleviate the frustration of being 'complete junk.'

Do you mean to say that purchasing this item is less rewarding or less useful? Does raising AP stat flatly make it more of a considerable purchase or does influencing the charge mechanic matter more?

Think of it as adding 100+15%AP burst damage as AoE.

Think of it as . The damage becomes negligible late game but early game, it gives quite a bit of harass and helps champions with harassing the enemy laner. Maybe lowering its cost and ap given would help.

Luden's offers the same kind of play pattern as Shiv; it's very good for quick trades and poke damage, particularly early in the game. Don't underestimate that extra 100+ damage.
