As the number of champions increases, will the number of bans EVER increase?

I mean, we should get 4 bans eventually right? Eventually league will have 150 champs, and if the game doesn't die out in the next few years like Starcraft, 200. We will probably need extra bans for the ban function to be of any use lol

Bans are not to remove a % of the champion pool.

They are supposed to be strategic. Banning the top 5 OP champions is not strategy.

It's strategically banning counter picks. However, when too many counter picks appear, what is the point of banning anymore?
