A perspective on Dynamic Queue through Riot's eyes (Unpopular opinion)
It's obvious people don't like DQ, but I want some people to look at it through riot's eyes for a moment. I don't like it either, but I think this will help everyone understand riots thought process
Imagine you own a store where you sell home-made T-Shirts. You have strong business, but you feel you can still improve. You notice there are people who want pants to be made as well. You decide that you want to make pants as well, to increase business. However, you must lower T-Shirt production. Many of your customers, including the best ones, are not happy with this. You appeal to a new crowd, but not your old one is upset. The only way to make both groups happy is to increase production of both types of clothes, but you lose a lot of income this way and the whole ordeal is pointless. You don't want to give up so soon though, and even though many people hate your choice, you believe you can improve it, and it just needs some time.
I honestly believe this is what is going through Riot's head. If you watched the round table video, its clear they know DQ needs a lot of work. I think when they bring up statistics like lower toxicity levels (Which is really caused by the new champ select as well as people not reporting their friends, toxicity is in reality worse), they are desperately trying to make it sound like a good change, at least for now. I think that they believe they can make DQ great, and satisfy everyone, they just need some time to adjust a lot of things and work on it. I know DQ sucks riot (heh) now, but give them some time so they can try their best, and be patient. I commend riot for taking a huge risk with DQ, even if it looks bad. I think they have some great ideas and just need time. Instead of flooding the boards with threads like "Why DQ is better than SoloQ" that have literally nothing in them, give them constructive ideas instead of telling them what they already know.
