I seen this big guy in all three areas. i play him jungle myself and have a lot of fun with him, but I hear he is even better top lane. What are the pros and cons of taking him in all 3 of themes areas?

Hi, Sion main (2nd most mastery) here.

Top: Generally a little weak at the moment, since he's not quite numbers-strong enough to be a lane bully (unless your enemy is dumb and lets you hit fully charged q's), and doesn't scale as well into late game as champs with a similar early. One exception: on red side, go execute yourself on the enemy blue and teleport to lane with a blue buff. Start Shield. Blue buff alleviates all Sion's mana problems using shield, so you suddenly win every trade and become a HUGE lane bully. Make sure you take the mastery that makes buffs last longer. Blue side, red buff isn't quite as pronounced, but can still be very strong in some cases. Sion is the only top laner I know who can do this.

Jungle: Synnergizes very well with the +maxHP keystone and cinderhulk. I don't play him here enough to really be able to speak to it well.

Support: Probably his strongest role at the moment; hidden OP. Countered by sustain but beats both poke AND all-in. Don't get lvl 1 all-inned because Sion is very squishy lvl 1. Almost always max E. It hurts and is hard to avoid, but auto-pushes the lane and you can screw up your adc's last hitting. Against poke, just poke them with your E and out-sustain them by being tankier and healing with relic shield, until you can zone them or hit lvl 6 and can all-in. Against all-in, again poke with E and save your Q to disengage. Early levels, Q really packs a punch. A double knockup can win you the lane. If you have to choose targets: if the enemy adc is aa-ing yours, go after the enemy adc. If they're aa-ing you, go after the enemy support and just peel for your adc. If the enemy support goes for you too, just back off until they switch targets. Against sustain (nami is the absolute worst, hardest counter I can think of), just let them push in and try to farm under tower while you wait for a jungle gank. Roam to other lanes if you can set up a freeze for your adc. Alternatively, you can try to shove super hard and not give them a chance to trade, though this is much more dangerous. In any case, Sion support is good because he brings an armor shred and slow, a great zoning tool, a guaranteed engage, and after you die you can drive the enemy carry out of the fight, or into your front line. If the game happens to go really long, you also scale really well. Unfortunately, he's not super strong if behind because he'll just get focused and popped.

Thanks for the info, it was really insightful. I'll defently be trying Sion bot in the near future and see how it goes.
