Some Helpful Tips/Tricks for Lower Elos that you might not think about.
Hey guys/gals,
So long story short, I've gone on a megaslide from Gold 1/plat 5 elo all the way down to gold 5 and pretty much middle silver elo.
But that is not my point of discussion; What I've seen now that I am down this low has sort of blown my mind. It's okay, though!

I am obviously no soloq god or anything, but I am going to throw out some things that I have seen that are major causes of games to be lost in lower rankings. Because once in Silver, most of us have our own person mechanics down and can handle ourselves. We need to transition that into the rest of the map and team to turn it into more likely wins.
First major thing, the all powerful ward:

Vision is a HUGE issue between Low silver and High Gold, I've seen. But instead of boring you with the amount of words I am already using, I made up some wood level diagrams to help explain me points. Red circles are where you want vision when on red side, so blue, obviously when you are on blue side and then pinks can be for either team. I will have the graphic BELOW the description.
Early game vision: Now, I know you need some wards on your side of the map also, but I am making this graphic as if you were holding in the middle of your lane and where you would want forward vision to keep an eye out for ganks from other lanes or the jungle AND keep early objective control.

Mid to Late game vision: As you start pushing forward down the lanes, the wards need to go forward with you. A lot of games have been thrown because a team gets an early lead, shoves down too hard without vision and give up shut down gold and free farm to the enemy for nothing. You always want to know where the enemy is (or isn't, then you can make a good guess where they are.)

Split Pushers! : Split pushing can be an amazing way to bring a game back from the brink of losing or seal the deal on a game that you already have a lead with... BUT it is only effective if you and your team knows where the enemy is, who is going to stop the split and how many. You can then make smarter and faster calls with that information and also the split pusher doesn't die with the rest of the tem in a position where they can't get anything for it

Tower Sieges: 5 man sieges when you are ahead are probably the easiest way to en a game IF you have the correct comp to do it with. We're speaking in generals though. The only issue is, like late game warding. If you're in the lead, shoving a tower together and the enemy gets the upper hand and wins a big fight, you just tossed a LOT of gold to them for nothing and they might make a comeback or make plays off of it. Always keep vision on your sides to prevent ganks/flanks. My graphic for this one is a very simple siege on 2nd tier mid tower from the blue side's view. (It's also for ants, I am sorry.)

Dragon Control: Dragon is a vital part of the game now, it let's you snowball leads or gain ground on your enemy and even the playing field again for your awesome comeback. Vision is a great way to control it, first the enemy has a hard time getting in if you're already there, or you know what path is best to come in and prevent them from taking it. You can usually win a fight AND take the drake for even more gold and bonuses (

Baron Control: It's the NA server's favorite time of the game... THE THROW AT BARNO! ..... but actually, let's find ways to NOT throw with it and instead do what it is supposed to do. (This vision control can be used for Rift Herald also) The major points of this vision control is once again of course to deny entry to the enemy, but also, if you should attempt a baron in a 5v5 where they will fight for it. You need to see the enemy jungler an also make sure they are not setting you up to be trapped in baron pit taking all that damage, losing the fight.

takes a deep breath That was a LOT for you to do, and obviously it's not magically that easy. But starting to throw out a ward here and there in key spots will certainly help turn some fights an might win you an extra game out of 3, and that's all you need for promos!
I really, really, really do care about players learning the game. I've been watching professional level games since season 1 and love the game knowledge aspect of it all. (If only my mechanics were better I could actually get somewhere, qq)
I hope this helps you guys!
Good luck, 88M
< Can single handedly do what EVERY other support does minus healing. He can be the front line tank, the peeler, safety, and definitely a playmaker. My 2nd is Alistar, I think he's the next biggest game breaker, a good alistar can turn every team fight. And an extra thing with thresh, you can deep ward easier by throwing your lantern ahead of you to see ahead an make sure you're safe to move in drop a ward and leave.
