Are you aware of Takli, or Tank Akali? She is a direct result of how much you shafted the AP Assassins in favor of AD ones and hybrid population (think Jax, rageblade). Do we have to play all AP assassins as Tanks for you to notice how much you trashed our class?

Is she going to get nerfed, AGAIN? Your current buff is totally unrelated to Takli, she was viable before this, but I felt like I was the only one playing her (mostly vs Fiora top). But she seems to be more and more popular after the small and insignificance buff she just received.

As far as "scaling goes". In case some soul tries to argue that. I've been spamming her lately to check different match-ups. Takli OUTSCALES Vladimir Mordekaiser Lux Yasuo Draven Fiora etc

Just last game, my dear jungler feed my enemy Lux a blue buff at minute 3. She ended up being 10/1 at one point. By late game I was diving her under inhibitor turret, then she ran under nexus turrets while Alistar was pealing for her, and then I dived her under nexus turrets, eat a QER combo from her and finally finally, I managed to kill that Lux again. She was so annoying starting minute 3 blue buff. And she was thinking she's good since she got an early buff to her mana regen.

The feeling when you realize that TANK itemization is better than Assassin itemization or Mage itemization for AP Assassins. Yes, I don't have a 100% win rate on her, since I'm still figuring out match-ups and so on (and usually I play 1v2 while another lane loses in 1v1 or 2v2 which results in me tilting and fucking up). But she is broken. In late game, is close to unstoppable. Unless the enemy has a Tryndamare or something. Its over.

Seriously, stop shafting mages for other classes and give us out items back. Lower Zhonias by 500g already, its not worth buying the darn item. I rather get item 3075 and shit on your AD poster boy assassin. Than building item 3157 and getting my behind shown to me over and over by "our items cost less, our items do more, we are better :D" AD champions.

We could use our actual "glass cannon" items such as item 3089 item 3135 get a darn buff already as well. Its been a long time now since these items are overpriced. Or should I just get a item 3075 instead of that too? after all, it does more dmg to your AD champions than item 3089 could ever hope to accomplish.

Also, the stupid fun part. Takli is viable in: top lane, jungle, mid lane Amazing, I know, right? Having to go totally off meta with your items to make a hero viable. Best balance team in the world are you?

They should nerf Akali instead of giving it any buff once so ever, considering the fact how odd that champion is....

A different build really has nothing to do with the original build being bad. Usually it just means the other is too strong seeing as they weren't balanced around building in such a way. Just look at the more recent Graves, he could go top or jungle and build bruiser, but he still did fine bottom lane as an adc that went full damage, it was simply him as a jungler with a bruiser build was over powered so it was played more. Even if you want to look at assassins, Fizz, Kat and Ekko were the same. Either could go bruiser and still be effective while their AP counterpart was still fine, but again, it was safer and more optimal to go with the tankier build.

Akali being built as a tank isn't a symptom of how Riot has balanced tank or AP items, it's due to the ways how Riot has recently balanced Akali. Just take a look at her balance changes in the last year or two.

  • Twilight Shroud gives MS rather than Armour and MR This change offers Akali more sticking power in exchange for durability. This is great for tankier builds who love more sticking power but it really hurts her squishier builds which suffer from the lack of durability.

  • E no longer procs Q This change is more painful for squishier builds who are more reliant on quicker burst than tankier builds who can afford to stay in fights longer.

  • R strike-through This really hurt assassin Akali since being thrown into the middle of the enemy team as an assassin with no escapes isn't generally a great thing, as a tanky it's not bad though.

  • E CD and cost down This increased Akali's DPS, which only tanky builds can really utilise. This was probably the change which made tanky Akali builds better than assassin, it just took people a while to catch on.

  • Q energy generation at low ranks up This is great for builds that don't max Q, which is great for E maxing tanky Akali builds.

akali's played as a tank isn't because AP itemization sucks, it's because akali's buffs were more conducive to a tank playstyle that's like saying when kha'zix was build bruiser season 3-4 it was because his itemization as an assassin sucked, and not because his ult was fuckin busted with how much damage reduction it gave.
