I feel like her itemization is so crappy it makes me vomit. Brutalizer made things so much easier for me but it got removed. So my question to you is how do you do it? I see some go Hydra first. Some go Cleaver first. Some even go Youmuus. But all in all it's a mess. One start delays another item etc. I feel like the lack of ArP makes her shit. And I hate Cleaver recipe because none of these add any ArP until I fully get it.

ArP and CDR are the best things on pretty much any assassin/ad-caster. Youmuus gives the best Flat ArP in the game, Recommended to build it first, then get a serrated dirk and a WarHammer (CDR) boots in between those. then get Cleaver then something like hydra or Maw. This is my Usual build path for most mid assassins that i play but it should fit IMO. I believe this could help you

Dont play her in a sololane, she gets shit on by the current meta anyway and gets shit on by nearly everything except melee assasins. If you wanna play her pick her in the jungle and go semi tanky and still deal less damage then other champs with similar builds. But hey, at least it works SOMEHOW.
No this guy is right actually riven is suffering from the current itemiAtion her core rush item brutaliser is removed Tiamat isn't as good as it used to, lucidity boots got nerfed a bit (less cdr). I have to admit tho I am glad I don't see her as often.
