Could we at least SEE who the premades are?

Please, Riot, enable us to see who the premades in our team are. (just like you did when you introduced us to ally champion mastery in loading page)

Sometimes I play games where I'm the only one solo and this happens a lot more frequently:

  • Chat goes silent/filled with a foreign language
  • Pings are less used
  • I'm seen as a "weak link" by my own team (sometimes to the point of being flamed in a foreign language that I understand)
  • Warding is more important than ever (take LCS for example, wards everywhere) etc.

Plus to make things "fair" Riot determines that the enemy team is premade as well. And a premade team is more likely to take "safer risks" and coordinated plays:

  • jungle invades
  • 3-4 man ganks
  • coordinated tower dives
  • more synergy teamfighting/split pushing, etc... That's all very interesting and Riot sees it to be more "fun" than solo (play with your friends on voice chat, yay!). Can pings replace voice chat? No. Writing what you can say in seconds is very time-consuming in a fast-paced game (probably why chat goes silent).

What I can do as a solo player if I know I'm up against a 3+ premade team? For example:

  • Play safer and try to make everyone communicate ("could you speak english please?" "could you ping ss please?")
  • Ward even more (invest in defensive wards rather than offensive)
  • As a jungler, be on lookout for jungle invades with mid/top lane backing up
  • As a jungler, the chance of being counter-ganked increases
  • As a laner, be more aware that, when leaving a lane to gank, the enemy knows you're missing almost immediately and can take safety measures
  • As a laner, being "camped" by the enemy jungler happens a lot more so again, warding is more important than ever
  • Enemy team is more likely to force objectives or initiate teamfights when 5v4

So please, Riot, give us the information to ADAPT to premade games before you shove them into the new Ranked system :) Thank you.

That's a great idea. I often join with 2 or 3 other people just to avoid the whole 5v5 part, but I do feel bad for the random. Usually we're pretty aware of pings and stuff still and often voice will go quiet when pings are quicker than articulating, but that's just good habits. I do hate when I'm premade and we all get our secondary just because it's throws off plans (kind of the point of premades), but that's still not that bad. Either way I agree about a note at least. Looking forward to integrated voice though.
