Mastery 7 tips?

Okay, so this is champion specific since I only have one M6, that being Lux. I've struggled in both mid and support to get an S-, and to date I've never managed to get an S/S+ with her. Does anyone have some tips about either how to improve, or ways to get S more consistently? She's one of my favorite champs to play both from lore and with her style/flashiness, and I'd really love to be able to reach Mastery 7 with her.

On a slight side note, is it easier to earn an S rank on ranked matches, or is it simply that playing ranked allows you to improve more to the point of reaching S tier potential? I see almost all of my B3+ friends with at least one M7, sometimes several, and I was barely able to reach M6. Any legitimate advice would be appreciated!

You really gotta cs and ward for an S. Try playing her support and split push post laning phase for a bit. Also buy sightstone as soon as you can, and always use all charges before backing.

It doesn't take much cs as support to get an S, so remember to help your team in fights too as kill participation is also a large impacter.

I have 6 mastery 7 champions and like 5 mastery 6 with some tokens for 7 and I farm boxes whenever theyre up, so I've gotten good at getting a S every game.

TLDR; farm, ward, have above 50% kill participation

Play the champ in an off-meta role. I got my S on Yi top and Shen support, because the system apparently ranks you next to the others who take that champ to that role. I.e. a support Nunu will only be compared to other support Nunu's score-wise (I take score to loosely include cs, kda, warding, damage, basically everything taken into account with scores). You don't have that high a bar to hit to get your S tokens from there.

That way, you'll be compared to people and your "good" games would rank a lot higher than good games of a popular champ in their meta role. E.g. you'd have to be a god at Yasuo mid to get your S from him there, because there are so many people playing him, and your game will be compared to every single one of them.

Perhaps Lux top (unheard of), or support (not too common)?

  • Don't play her support.
  • Focus on CS and towers.
  • Ward the lane for free vision score.
  • Don't play her support.
  • Participate in objectives whenever possible.
  • Try picking up Dark Seal around the time you spike.
  • Don't play her support.
  • Splitpush for CS.
  • Cheese the enemy jungler by constantly stealing mini-raptors.
  • Don't play her support.

I'm currently trying to to get the first two tokens. I write down info when i get S- or higher. My two S games as Support in Normals:

My Score: 6/1/22 (33 cs) Team Score: 37/21/61 Time: 34:04

My Score: 5/1/16 (12 cs) Team Score: 40/8/48 Time: 23:51

Edit: Just got another S playing as Support in Normals:

My Score: 3/2/22 (19 cs) Team Score: 42/21/49 Time: 34:33

Final Edit: Got my last token, another S playing as Support in Normals:

My Score: 5/0/18 Team Score: 37/18/59 Time: 24:40

Really easy to get an S.

CS....

That's the real truth and biggest factor. If you can have over 50 CS every 10 minutes, you're golden. So at the 10:00, you should be well above 50, and over 100 by the time the 20:00 minute mark rolls around. Also, there is other stats like taking the enemy junglers camps, kills, assists, taking turrets that play a big part in it.

Mainly having good CS can get you a S. I went 1-1-0 yesterday with Udyr, got an S- just farming CS.

Also, it's important to know, an S is determined on how well you do compared to that champions playerbase. The smaller the playerbase, the easier it is to get S's.

Just try to get as much CS as you can, and try not to die.

Check my match history, I get S's really often! and even S- shouldn't be hard lol.... Just do a lot of CSing. It's ok to die a few times (but you gotta make up for it with huge kill numbers), but try not to die at all. If you think you can't do it, then play for the S, not the team and focus on that one goal.

Also youtube and learn her more, get better.
