I played yorick before this update

man all these people hyping over the yorick rework, I was playing him quite alot even know. I liked that no one really played him

People just like to hype him up because he's one of the more or less "Dark Horse" champions of league.

His playrate and historically toxic laning phase, so much so that he's removed from free week rotations, is basically legend.

Lots of people liked yorick. He was subtle and unassuming, it was fun because people consistently under estimated him for no real reason.

I dont like his new lore. Its bland, it has no character to it... yorick is no longer yorick mori, a man who doesnt want to be forgotten. Hes this cliche monk slowly being driven mad by the evils he watches over.

I don't think its possible to ever satisfy everyone with a rework to be honest. Some people are gonna like it and some people wont.

He did need the rework, when it goes on PBE ill test it out to see just how it works.

Im just sad his lore was made so bland. Yorick was a sad and pitiful man, now hes just another story to put in a book and move on from.

I will say that alot don't understand him as he is now. I ulted an LB and they ran away from enemies while my ult was on them.

Definitely that was a huge issue. whenever i did that to a yasuo the enemies would disengage and he would waste my ult, or rev and think "oh wow im still alive!" and waste the shade.

to be honest though, this almost looks like another "what malzahar should have been" deal ;-;

after watching his new abilities, I am sure I will try him out, (I am actually building up a 3rd account to be a Yorick/Urgot only account). or maybe anyone else that I don't think gets played alot.

Played him for the first time on the weekend in nemesis draft and I was honestly surprised at just how boring he was.

Yorick is my pickpocket pick to face any bs lane champion like teemo or some other bs. But I honest think the rework look hella cool, except the ult, they could have done more with it.

could have done more? I was thinking the opposite. I was like "well his ult is getting nerfed shortly after it comes out"

Aesthetic wise, its too simple my opinion. The numbers are prob going to be insane like always from Riot, magic % hp.. they always do that..

But he already summons undead with his Q, and now his R does the same thing but with a maid.

Imo to make it cooler there should be two ways of using his R. Either R on an enemy opponent which summons a maid with no ghouls, now the maid has an aoe slow around her, and does only bonus magic damage if Yorick is hitting the same target.

Or second way to use his R, after one of your team champion dies, you can summon their grave and after a small delay they are revive for only a short amount of time or when their hp diminish (8-10s lets say if no one attacks them) but does not receive any kills, gold or exp during that time, they are given to Yorick.

The R will be pretty good alone like in Top lane, and in teamfight he can use it on carries or tank/bruiser whoever dies first. But they are given no kills gold or exp during that time so it doesnt make other champions on your team busted and still serve as a punishment for dying.

Now he has to pick or choose, if you dont think your teammates will die, you can summon the Maid. Or if you think you need to revive your teammate then save it to revive.
