Thanks to the easier access to early dragon red side has a big advantage. Blue siders caught on dragon attempt have no way of escape while red side can just hide in their jungle. Any blue side attempt to ward dragon is death risk trip while red side jungler can ward it while just passing by to gank bot. Thats very unfair.
Do you have any statistic on blue/red win ratio? I'd love to see it.
Take this into consideration as well, though.
Red side, during a dragon contest, has to either flash over the dragon wall or walk ALL the way around in order to escape.
Blue Side has a greater selection of escapes at their disposal if things go south.
If we disregard that, we could argue that Baron works in a similar fashion and losing a Baron buff to the other team is a lot heavier of a loss than losing a dragon buff.

I find it very difficult to tell which side is blue and which side is red, from the stupid switching perspectives thing. So I have no clue what you're talking about.
