So much hostility towards me when I play Aatrox

If I do bad in lane which isn't that surprising right now for Aatrox I get flamed for playing him. And people tell me his win rate as if I already don't know. But people don't understand if no one plays him what data does riot have to go off of to buff the champion later? Imagine if they leave him in such a state without knowing how he does if no one plays him, and someone plays it months later in your promos and loses lane since he is still not strong enough to lane against most opponents. That would feel bad. So why not help the rioters out by providing them the statistics and performances they need to see where the buffs need to be done in 7.6. Just had to get that off my chest.

As long as you aren't playing it in ranked knowing you'll lose, that doesn't bother me.

If you play it in ranked knowing that it isn't going well for you... that's kinda different, tbh. They can get data from normals, too, so there's no need to kill other people's promos now just for the sake of data.

Now, if you're winning with it, then that's another matter entirely. If you're winning with it, they can shove it.

I play Aatrox quite a bit now but I'm always worried someone's going to be pissed at me if I lose or even pick the champion. I do have more experience on him than people just jumping on the bandwagon, but I still worry. Also, I want to see Aatrox buffed too.

The problem is if you play him in ranked you are pretty much putting your team at a disadvantage, you might be more comfortable on him but you need to know alot of other top laners are just better and much more safe of a pick while having the same snowball potential than attrox.

well aatrox is very useless in a lot of situations. So i don't blame people for flaming you or whatever they say, because youre willingly putting your team at a disadvantage for playing a bad champion that is currently in need of a LOT of help

I dodged a ranked game where the toplaner picked aatrox into nasus, I just did not want to take the risk of the super gimped rework aatrox leading to a fed enemy nasus.

They should blame riot lol. Serioulsy not your fault when they decide it's time to make even the few Aatrox mains to stop playing him. Don't get discouraged by some butthurt lolkids who are crying because of some useless elo.

Long as you are not playing rank as Aatrox knowing he has a low win rate, then people should get off your butt. You are 100% correct riot cant properly balance a champion if no one plays him. I have teammates that pick Azir, and i dont ever talk crap, because with the right team comp and coordination almost any champion can be viable. Ive had games where i lost because out azir mid was just feeding, and ive had games where i was able to protect azir and he carried my team to victory. Basically what im saying is, dont play rank with a champion you know has a low win rate (unless you are a god with them), and dont flame people for picking low win rate champions in normal games
