People are forgetting Riot is a company and not your caretaker.

I've been seeing a few posts pop up here and there with the illogical statements of "New champions need to stop being so strong." or "I don't like how the game doesn't match MY playstyle anymore." and "Riot banned me for no reason, I pay good money to not be trolled."

YOU Paid money for skins, you got zero game benefit from spending cash. Games evolve over time and aren't going to your playstyle for 5 years, unless you want Call of Duty to happen all over again. Riot has to do a key balance of trying to make the game as best it can be for one of the biggest player bases of all time so far while generating revenue for itself. So yes, new champions are going to be OP because people pay money for them, they always get nerfed later on. Or does no one remember when Darius first stepped onto the rift?

The game's not perfect, of course not, no game is though. I know it seems that easy to do when you're behind your single screen at home and the only thing affecting your bank account is your own decisions. It's different when you're trying to bring entertainment and make money for the thousands of people working a job.

Just consider that some and then speak your mind, it is a free world after all.

Urgot (buff Urgot)

tl:dr - Riot needs to make money while entertaining a TON of people. Stop crying.

I don't think the issue is people don't understand Riot is a business, the issue is people are just getting tired of vastly overtuned champs being released when it should be known by now what is too much. Ekko, Kindred, Tahm, now Illaoi weren't so much broken kit wise as they were number wise, and it still remains a problem.

It isn't really asking the world for numbers to be more tolerable. Yes a lot of people do go overboard and ask for too much or whine a lot. But a good amount of people also explain why and actually put thought into their threads.

If Riot just basically said they purposely overtune new champs to sell them more than people while being upset and annoyed, would probably cut down on the threads since they know that they do it on purpose and then cut the champs down after some time. But Riot holds this balance ideal and it isn't really the players fault to criticize them when it isn't held up.

I mean look at Worlds? It was a complete joke since they didn't fix a lot of problem champs til AFTER it was over, which made one of their most important events ever a complete joke, even several of the LCS pros themselves said it was sad.

While a lot of the shit Riot gets is indeed not deserved, being criticized when spoken out right is something they do deserve, since a business is only as good as their customers. Ignore those customers and well, look what has happened to any other company that has?

People just want the game to be fun, and while fun is subjective, when overall people seem to agree on something, something must be wrong right?

Me personally I just want this Crit meta to be tuned and I will enjoy it a lot.

I just want the old merc treads back. Bruisers can hardly function now without them. Its all tanks top lane because there's too much damage threat everywhere, and CC is stronger than ever.

Nice discussion hop after you lost an argument. Champions shouldn't be blatantly OP on release. Riot promised that they'd be more careful about this, and the problem's been worse than ever lately.

The game isn't a mis-match to my play style, just nobody likes it except the people who don't care. Most of the people who don't care are the ones making the game money. If those players don't care, why ostracize the rest of the player-base if those players would still like the game if Riot didn't shun the rest??

Darius wasn't released to be OP, and, again, Riot promised they would do their best to release at reasonable power levels. Darius came after Riot wanted to give trade-offs for mobility, and Darius basically resulted the same way that Irelia and Xin did, but in opposite, yet equal power. He was also designed to kill tanks, but with how he was tuned, it worked better on people who just generally had lower stats than him.

Listening to the players with real criticism about the direction of the game wouldn't lose them money; it would in fact make them more, since a good amount of players are ready to quit.

Once again, yes, I stopped responding when it became obvious that he just wanted to rant. It's called being an adult. But I suppose that counteracts your internet laws of debates. "She got tired of a null discussion, therefore BAIL WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG"

It was a null discussion on your end too, and you carried it on somewhere else.

You're just as bad for essentially saying our criticism is invalid then trying to push your argument elsewhere to try to get positive attention for it.
