The armor penetration on Last whisper needs to be reduced

That way armor stacking is actually useful. 500 armor on malphite, still got melted in a few hits. Balanced!

There's no way you can get melted if you have 500 armor. Just no way. 500 armor, apply Last Whisper + pen mastery = 41% armor pen. Leaves you with a little under 300 armor. 300 armor means you take 300/ (300+100) % damage reduced = 75% damage reduction. ADC 300 damage 60% crit chance 2.0aspd IE crit will deal 187.5dmg. Standard auto will deal 75dmg. In 5 attacks, you will deal 2 crits = 375. + 3 autos = 225. Total in 5 attacks = 600dmg. Total in 10 attacks = 1200dmg. ASPD 2.0 means this is 5 seconds. Total in 15 attacks = 1800. 7.5 seconds Total in 20 attacks = 2400. 10 seconds.

EVEN WITH MINIMUM HP OF 2400, IT STILL TAKES 10 SECONDS AND 20 ATTACKS TO KILL YOU.

That is fucking huge. You probably have 3k at least in any case meaning itll take 12-13 seconds of UNINTERRUPTED ATTACKS to kill you. No adc has that time. None. At 500 armor the adc is useless. Just a useless piece of meat that deals no dmg.

He can also die if you just use AP champions on your team.

Malphite isn't very useful against many AP champions. He wants to be against a full AD team to punish them.

I think one of the worst Malphite games I ever had was a Normal with a item 3930 with item 3071 . You can't itemize against that efficiently... We still won but I hated that Vi so much.

Whisper originally had 45% armor penetration before Riot flipped the order of pen application around.

Um, I know hating on percentage armor penetration is the "cool" thing to do on these boards, but lets get real here. With LW you would still have 375 armor, which is absolutely insane amounts of protection. If you got melted it isn't because of Last Whisper, it's because they were strong enough that no amount of armor would be protection for you.

500 armor is way too much, how much HEALTH did you have? without health you will be melted since you are still going to take meaningful damage when you take into account your health pool. Build some goddamn health if you are being destroyed even though you have that much armor... better yet! BUILD SOME GOOD ARMOR ITEMS!

never ever build over 175-200 (this may even be pushing it) of a single resist unless its a 5 Physical/5 magic damage team

That happened because you tried to fight them when they were ahead of you and your 5 Thornmail build is actually pretty crappy.

All of y'all need to stop taking your one loss and pinning it all on something or other you don't like and pretending it's evidence.
