Why are Riot changing things that no one complained about

Their reasoning behind is that people on EUNE and in other regions don't use it. Only NA, Brazil and EUW are using normal drafts in their opinion, so no need to keep it on other servers.

The reason is that only a low % of players were using it. Also, if that's the question, then they could create 20 different queues that don't hurt anyone, except for the fact that people split in different queues, resulting in longer waiting times. In general, It's always best to keep the minimum amount of queues that can satisfy almost everyone. The problem is that the blind pick sucks horribly, and people who are used to draft normals will have a REALLY hard time because of that. No surprise if someone decide to quit because the game is suddenly a lot less enjoyable for them.

For some reasons It would have been better to remove blind and keep draft, i think. Waiting times for draft would get considerably lower because all the people playing blind would start playing draft, and even if they are sometimes forced to play support because of auto-fill... c'est la vie, none will die for that reason. They should have played support a few times in blind mode too, anyway, unless they are insta-locker garbage. On the other hand, some people may dislike having to wait during the whole pre-selection and ban phase. Also, bans' existence means that they will have a hard time playing a champion who gets banned very often, and also that every player needs at least 16 champions available to be sure they will be able to pick something. The last one is the biggest problem, i guess... they would need to give people 16 free champs every week, instead of 10.

However, they said they wanted to create a queue that could take the best of draft and blind modes... Maybe something that will let you pre-select your role like current draft mode, but then is like blind mode during selection (no bans and everyone pick at the same time without even seeing the enemy team).
