Congrats Riot, you're killing your own game

I've been playing league since before season 1, I play maybe 20 games a week. 2-3 games a day on average. I have never seen League in such a bad state since the beta. In the last few seasons, there were some issues that Riot dealt with decently well (tank fizz, tank ekko, trying to get some sort of balance between solo queue and pro play etc) but I don't know whats been happening since the end of season 7 (like if someone got fired that was part of the dev team or something like that) but this game is going downhill and going downhill fast. The fact alone that Zoe and Pyke were able to be released after being play tested and Riot was cool with their kit is the main reason why I think this game is broken. With Pyke , I can one shot the carries while playing support and the carries cannot one shot me, You know theres a big issue there. With Zoe, you can get one shot from the fog of war without having a split second to react. These 2 champs are just a few things that are going wrong.

The balance team is a joke. Look at this meta that we are in. Like I wrote earlier, usually Solo Q or Pro Play was pretty balance either one or the other. Now you have SKT that is running a mid lane Taric to boost the jg because of how fucked the recent jg changes were. Whats an ADC anymore? They are so weak that Imaqtpie went from Rank 20 Challenger before the bot lane item updates a few weeks ago to Diamond 1 in 2 weeks. This is all because of the fact that the game is changing so much every patch that people cannot keep up with that changes and it doesnt help when the changes are so awful. Now in Solo Q, everyone gets 1shot by a Zoe, a Fizz a Kayn or any other assassin because of how unbalanced the items are. Its harder to kill a canon minion with baron buff than it is to kill a Tower.

I hope they can fix these problems, because the game is suffering alot from it. But these problems have been building up since Season 6 so I doubt things are going to change for the better.

Does Master Yi see colors, or does he only see green because of his goggles?

Pyke has absolutely retarted passive. Why the FUCK assassin has better gray health passive than TahmKench ?

When you laning vs tahm you feel like you can poke him down if you want to. When you playing vs Pyke you can abandon that idea right away. He gonna be regenerating like crazy putting fantasy trolls to shame. The fuck is that? Why the fuck he has better better execute than anyone else? Any other execute just does not compare. Its aoe. It has resets. It gives bonus gold. It ignores shields. WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT? Mb it can also wash my clothes and cook me dinner? I mean why not. Seems quite possible considering how good it is.

And yet they put this shit into the game and quite cool with it.

The game is as balanced as it's been in a long time if you want my opinion. Assassin damage is a little high but champion diversity has never been better.

Congrats OP; you are the millionth person to claim a company is killing their own game. Generic people, generic crap

Riot cares about pro players and low elo players which is most of the community. They want to release changes and champions that spice up the game not what's balanced. Their main focus is them making a fun game not a balanced one.

Riot is killing their game by releasing weak champions like Pyke that bad players die too?

For a very long time, I wasn't actually all that worried about balance, because I personally believe balance can change quickly over time, and was confident that Riot would stabilize things relatively quickly in-between gameplay updates. I was wrong. Not only does League have some serious balance problems, but there has been a constant climate of imbalance for years now, one I feel has worsened due to an environment that has become increasingly brittle, and has magnified even the smallest mechanics out of line. The fact that a nine year old game still cannot stabilize its balancing environment I feel is tremendously worrying. On the side, I also agree that it feels like there's been a drop in quality with quite a few champion releases we've had, since we've had several champions with kits that were easy to identify as unhealthy the moment they landed on PBE, as well as a fair amount of visuals, VO, backstory, etc. that have come across as bland, generic or just too similar to another champion's. The same statement of quality can be said of League's recent updates, which have been released at too rapid a pace, and have often only benefited the game in very shallow and short-lived ways, while causing much deeper problems in exchange. I don't really know what League's direction is at the moment, and the lack of real communication from Riot has not helped this.

what? im perfectly fine with pyke hes honestly really nicely balanced and there hasnt been someone as oddly balanced as him for a long time now (other then Yasuo or Zed who are based around ppl who play the champ)

Yeah, I'm sure they are intentionally killing their own game. No other explanation for all those obnoxious changes and decisions, day by day. Still haven't got why.

My problem is that the champion design team clearly has no idea how important the decisions they make are. Are you SURE you want to include a champion that can get summoner spells on their W? Is that something you REALLY want to do? Are you sure you want to duplicate the gameplay of having to avoid one ridiculous, spammable, long range nuke? As an esport with an already solid following, do we want to make a champion that fills a niche that hasn't been done already, or do we just want to pander to early teenagers with super high burst damage and flashy plays? Kids love sniper rifles more than anything else in video games.
