I know Riot tried to make queues shorter with autofill,but this backfired so hard. Now people are forced to play in roles they aren't comfortable with and now people trolling for being autofilled is now a thing. In my opinion Riot should leave the Autofill optional as it was before, because I rather have longer queues than to play in a role I don't know well.
I've got support 4 times in a row, I didn't even pick it once.
100% agreed, autofill has fucked this game.
The worst part is when it happens in ranked. I go top/mid and I'm forced to support or Jungle. I don't like jungling, I'm not good at it. I'm an okay support but I prefer to be a solo laner than have to baby sit someone.
Getting a role I don't want is annoying but (unless I'm having a particularly bad day) it's not a deal breaker.
No, what bugs me is the queue dodging. It seems like every game now there's someone who wants a role other than what they've been autofilled to, and is trying to get their own role. And if they don't get it, they dodge. This'll sometimes happen 5 or 6 times in a row before I end up being the one autofilled. Then we lose because I can't Mid at all, my support is garbage and it's all my fault.
And I can't blame the people who dodge, they went into draft to play/practice a specific role.
I would much rather wait an extra 5 minutes to play the role I want.
