Ekko QoL change with his R

I have been using Ekko recently and sometimes forget to check the timer on my R, leading to deaths as his hologram appears 4 seconds before it is available. It may seem insignificant to look down are your R to check the timer, but when you are focused on the battle and see the hologram right before you go in, you believe you have your R because you didn't see it before. This can lead to false security and deaths as you press it and nothing happens. Obviously, if you just look down you can save yourself, but if you just see the hologram and your teammate is there dying, you think you can save them. I sometimes go in a fight thinking I won't need my W to stun and save myself as I have my R, but I then underestimate myself. I then press my R but nothing happens and I die. I believe if the color is changed to show that it is not ready, it can help people pay attention and not die, such as a gray and translucent R 4 seconds before activation. If you are in a team fight and see it pop up, you know you have 4 seconds before using it so you change how you play to be able to use it.

It's a pretty controversial topic. The problem is that if it appears as your ultimate is off cooldown, it would take your enemies by surprise, which is something that his ult wasn't design to be. Basically, its the Ekko player, who needs to count to 4 before engaging, or the whole enemy team, who needs to suddenly flash out because the Ekko ult is on top of them. Technically, both sides have strong arguments, but Ekko's design is that he is telegraphed and needs to plan ahead, so I have to side with keeping his hologram the way it is now.
