Season Five is the Best Season

Say what you will about the Riot balance team, but when the team comp of Ezreal Mid, Naut Jungle, and Brand support is not only viable, but strong? This is by far the most diverse and interesting season yet.

Isn't that what we asked for, and they promised to deliver?

You are doing beautifully Rito. +1

Frost queen's line if items needs to only proc off the first damage of an ability instead of every tick of DoT. Seriously Morgana and brand take zero effort to get the full effect out of that item because of that fact.

I agree. Even Urgot has been showing up in play.

They've made a few mistakes (Ala Veigar) but that will be fixed eventually. They've really made the game very diverse.

Yea not a chance. No such thing as hybrid anymore, and most champions are one role, single trick ponies.

Plus you say that like they actually balanced this season well??? The jungle spent 4 patches with only 4 viable champions, even now ap junglers are limited to diana and fiddle in order to have a clear time and gank.

We see champions live Eve who were nerfed so horribly they are unplayable, along with Viegar, Zilean. And meanwhile every other game has a Zed and/or Nidalee showing up in it and yet despite the community and even pro players and riot employees voicing their opinion (OP as fuck), they have yet to see any real nerf to their controlling play.

Tanks are making it back into the meta, but thats not a victory. You cant say that this is the best season when the only reason tanks being in the meta is so amazing is because Riot removed them from competitive play in Season 3 and never fixed it. Meanwhile, CertT is still creating champions whos physics ruin the play and whos kits include entirely too much and they are STILL being released into the game.

Season 5 has been the second worst season for balance second only to Season 4 where every broken champion was left to dominate (looking at you lee sin) and even more were introduced into the mix while characters like Urgot spent entire seasons unplayable. No great feats seen from somebody whos been here since the beginning

disagree, season 1 was way more fun and had more diversity. We had a lot of champions that could go ap or ad, all supports had viable ap builds and meta wasnt focused on adc

I saw a thread claiming season 5 was the worst not three weeks ago. Also got upvotes. Riot's had like, what, two good patches in a row? Let's hope the combo continues, but please calm down. This golden time is not representative of the season as a whole.

Season 1 > Season 2 > Season 3 > Season 4 > Season 5. My opinion, of course. Dang I wish I could have been here in the days of the older seasons when the game was so much better.

Wow, like if these picks didn't work before season 5....... Don't forget that they're forcing meta especially on support, remember Top lane soraka? Remember when Taric/Sona/Janna had high AP ratios? Now they're only forced to play support.

Veigar Azir drove down Nerf Avenue

Khazix fell from his crown in S4 to the dumpster

And the cancer has shifted from affecting 1 lane to every lane Nidalee .

item 1027 mana regen was nerfed soo hard

But yeah, overall riot did a decent job. Certainly not the best tho

Whatever season makes Heimer support viable gets my vote.

Strong poke in W, spread it out for decent waveclear. Free wards in Q Skillshot blocking with Q E for CC RE for lots of CC Q and RQ for lots of damage. Passive brings sustain to lane.
