Is it the ADC job to pick a champion with CC?

after many games of playing adc, it seems like other players tend to not pick a champion with cc but rather a champion with high snowball potential.

THen i always notice the other team having 1 or 2 or 3 champions that have lots of cc.

And well my team is crushed in team fights and i end up dying due to lack of any type of team fight ability.

For exaample hard to dish out dmg as a adc when ur top and jungler are glass cannons and they get cc to death and im left theire kiting 4 people

How does a adc even get out of silver elo

I only did it by going mid mage one season

almost every adc have some sort of CC.

some of them even have CC that is more reliable and powerful than even dedicated CC champs, yet still retain their range and DpS.

Don't even try to throw out that BS. No adc has comparable cc to dedicated cc champs, or most mages for that matter. Name one adc who has has much cc as nautilus, or maokai, or any damn tank. Ashe is probably the one adc with a good amount of cc. Every other adc either has unreliable cc, or has at most a slow.

It shouldn't but you can't control what your team mates pick unfortunately. I think if I was having this issue a lot I would just pick jihn or Ashe to try an compensate. What else you gonna do, I've had games in s3 where people group and push mid at 15 mins... no cc sucks when that happens

Always pick a champ with CC if you can imo, regardless of the role. It gives you more control over what goes on. Then again, some people are simply better at just focusing on dealing deeps.

As an adc, if you can't trust your team to peel that Yi or Zed, it would behoove you to pick one with hard CC.
