How did I not get an S rating?

This isn't a big deal to me at all, but I'm really just curious as I thought I had understood the algorithm at this point. I know that (to get an S rating) you generally need a high amount of:

  • CS
  • Vision score
  • Dmg to objectives & opponents
  • Gold earned
  • Good KDA
  • Participation score

In this game, I played jungle. The match was 32 minutes long and we won. The score was 46 to 20. My main stats are:

  • KDA - 12/3/10 (second highest)
  • Creep score - 156 (fourth)
  • Vision score - 37 (first)
  • Gold earned - 14.2k (second)
  • Total DMG dealt - 28.1k (third)
  • Gained first blood
  • Largest killing spree - 9 (first)
  • Largest multi kill - 2 (second)
  • Total dmg to objectives - 41.3k (first)
  • Individually destroyed 2 towers and 2 inhibs (first)
  • As a team, destroyed 8 towers, 4 dragons, 1 herald.

Here's a link to the match stats, if interested: https://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/3312725682/221848436?tab=stats

Yet after all that, I only got an A+. In comparison, Victor and Neeko both got an S-. Victor achieved nothing other than high kills, damage, and CS. Neeko's only accolades were a high KDA, decent vision score, and a high CS for a support. Everything else was very low, especially her participation score.

So what am I missing here? I'm shocked I didn't even get at least an S-.

CS is the most important stat and 156 minions in 32 minutes is low.

Your CS was too low.

As a rule of thumb you need 100 or just a bit less per 10 minutes, i have never gotten any kind of S with any significantly lesser amount no matter how well i do otherwise.

The Grading system turns a single game into a competition on two separate fronts.

  • Your end-of-game stats are your performance in that game against the other team in the same game.
  • Your grade is your performance in that game against people playing your champion and role in other games.

If you didn't outperform jungle Kindred players across relative criteria, you're not getting an S. Literally none of the other players' stats in this specific game compared to yours matter.

When it comes to csing, always aim for 200 or more cs.
