Is Taric really in a good balance spot?

I only ask cause it honestly feels terrible to play him. Everything revolves around landing your E since your heal is poop and can miss other people if they aren't huddled closer than Sona auras.

Does his ult take too long to activate?

Can I have some clarification on Taric in his current state? I want to like him, but I just can't.

His heal used to be decent pre rework, but they gutted it so hard that's it's never worth it to use it unless you are really early in the lane to soak so little of damage.

taric is the best teamfighting support in the game. his heal is 'weak' (it scales pretty well given how often its up) because it can heal 5 people instead of 2.

his ultimate ensures that his kit will never be 'good' in terms of actually being healthy though

I like Taric, but he is indeed quite weak.

Some of his potential core items are getting buffed next patch so stay tuned for that... [ item 2303 item 3109 ]I also THINK I read he was getting mana cost reduced on his Q (Heal) which is massively long overdue (140 mana for one of the worst heals in the game? TROLOLOL).

Personally I think he's balanced enough. His ult does take a bit too long to go down, and his q does take a little too long to charge, but other than that, he's in a great spot. I felt awful every time I played him, until about the fourth game or so in a row, then I started getting the gist of when the best times to use your heal for the actual heal, and when to use it for the burst were, and who to shield, for what reason be it the shield itself, or to give them the stun in a teamfight.

TLDR and to avoid my awful grammar: his Q charges, and ult need some time adjustments, and he feels really clunky until you play him a few games in a row, but he's fun!

He feels clunky and his ultimate is useless most of the times - the enemy team just backs off for 2 seconds and then unleashes all the AOE that they have when your team is too deep to go back. If you ult to save someone, well expect that guy to be dead before the cast animation goes off. I guess it's fine support to win lane and be almost useless after that.

Eh, he's fine to me.

The trick is to rush Thornmail and kill the enemy ADC 1vs1 That's an actual thing btw

The heal's weak because the CD resets mean that everything can be up as long as you string combos together and don't run out of mana

From the few times I've played him, his heal doesn't feel right at all. Early game it's too costly to use much, and late game unless you build full ap, it doesn't heal for that much. I'm probably just not using him right or building well though.

High winrate in solo queue. Picked occasionally in pro games. Not complained about by the playerbase indicating his power feels fair. That's pretty much the ideal balance point for a champion.

Personally I think he feels right. Feels good to play with high and low moments. Feels influential despite being a mostly defensive support. I like seeing him on my team and I don't mind playing against him.
