Why are Iron Chains inferior to a Single Arrow?

You know the interaction when Sylas hooks Vayne, but Vayne uses a single Arrow to shoot him back?

Wood > Iron

I think this was meant for memes not gameplay.

Aren't his chains made of the same stuff as Galio? It's basically wood too

  1. The game can't possibly be designed with and account for every realistic interaction and only use realistic principles because it will both complicate the design process and balancing of the game tremendously (especially in a game with so gigantic amount of variables from the cast member's abilities, items, runes, summoner's spells, and whatnot that all carry certain physical function of their own) for basically no benefit, and you know that.
  2. Vayne's E that knocks you back is a bolt from the 2-handed crossbow on her back. Given its size it is natural to assume people hit by the bolt would be sent flying. If anything, the most unrealistic part of Vayne's kit is her invisibility and the reload speed of her crossbows when on high AS.

because point and clicks are supreme.

The tip of vayne’s bolts/arrows is silver. Which in most fantasy settings is anti-magic/monster material and is unrealistically more powerful, stronger and durable than the strength and durability of regular silver on Earth.

I can also go into the scientific answer but I want to spare mainly myself but also you guys all of the lengthy math. And I don’t really have the time right now to do it.

Do you really think that arrows are just made out of wood

The thing is that physically it is impossible to hook somebody with chains and then drag yourself to them (even more so with such bulky chains as his) but when you get shot in the face with not an arrow but with a bolt as long as a human being (Vayne's crossbow is somewhere around her size) want it or not you will get plunged back. So if we were talking about what is possible and not possible then Vayne has better chance of knocking somebody back then Sylas would ever have in dragging himself to somebody.

Weren't crossbows specifically invented to be armor-piercing? I don't think you're giving them enough credit.
