Akali is impossible and will be impossible to balance with numbers and small changes.

To show you that I'm not just a "person" and actually played old Akali and new Akali. I have over 800K+ mastery points in 3 accounts, 1 banned and 2 currently using, one of them is my main which has 217k mastery points currently. I peaked at plat 5 with old Akali but dropped to gold 1 since schools started.

Akali is a dilemma, you either nerf shroud to her old shroud or weaker, then you either buff her damage overall or give her less delay to burst to make her burst someone before she dies. You can also either nerf her damage or more delay to burst, but buff her shroud (but that is impossible since everyone hates her shroud). Those two are the most popular suggestions by players, but there are more that i saw like:

  • Delete mechanics like her ring passive, R1, slow from Q. These I got from posts months ago after the rework was fresh, so sorry if I don't have the link.

Even though I'm incredibly annoyed at how she didnt get any big changes by now, I still hope they give her a huge change to her kit or revert. Reverting Akali currently is the most popular idea in the Akali subreddit, and the most safest (IMO).

She is getting the shroud nerf and another pass I have been told.

I have never seen anyone complaining about her passive or the slow on her Q. Everyone wants the shroud (notably Obscured) changed and modified and given an energy cost, instead of an energy refill. I don't think it's bad she has a slow, since most assassins do (Zed, Talon, Rengar, etc), and her passive helps her with her energy management.

As an Akali main i do agree that she is pretty damn op, and when I try playing against her I suck.

In my past three games I have went 18/4, 10/2 and 9/1, so Akali is pretty impossible to play against.

Though none of those solutions are ok.

  • Q should have a slow as most assassins can slow
  • W, could possibly be nerfed so that re entering the shroud no longer extends duration
  • Not much changes to E are needed
  • R is somewhat balanced. Maybe increase the stun duration and then increase the cooldown between the two dashes
  • Passive is somewhat annoying, but the ring is fairly large and awkward to exit, especially in heated fights.
