Why isn't teemo banned in ranked more often ?

Sure he has lots of counters top, but if he farms his way to late game those shrooms can take out squishies pretty easily, especially if the enemy team is kited into his shroom forest.

If the opposing team gets 3 upgraded red trinkets and uses them efficiently, AP Teemo is effectively useless (at least shroom mechanic-wise)

He accomplishes next to nothing late-game. Not even a well-placed blind is worth doing because he still contributes inferior damage if he doesn't immediately die in the first place.

Because you have to be REALLY good with Teemo to play him effectively. Most low-elo players can't use him to his fullest potential. He's like Aatrox or Zac in that respect. Secret OP if you know how to use them, subpar if you don't.

That would be a total waste of a ban. He isn't played very often, and he's not very strong anyway. And lategame, would you rather have a Teemo or an unkillable tank who can teamfight?

Why ban him? He's incredibly annoying, but that's his main advantage. He can't teamfight nearly as well as most other top laners, and a couple of intelligently wielded sweepers even allows his opponents to teamfight in the jungle without worrying about shrooms.

Teemo is such a silent killer. I was a very fed Miss fortune today, Teemo was very fed( kayle went against him noobish). Teemo went tankish (Rylais, rod of ages, face mask thing, randuins omen, deathcap, shoes). I was going with my team to team fight, didnt step in a shroom but he just popped up, as an adc I walk in the back of the gang through jg, and he killed me in 2 hits. His silence is 1.5 seconds long and he can kill me faster than I Can kill him,
