Best champs for elo climbing

Hey guys I've been looking for a good champ to pick up that will help me climb elo. I''m asking now so that I can practice the champ for the remainder of this season before hitting ranked next season for the first time. I'm looking for a champion who can do a good amount of damage as I tend to play more aggressively in lane and throughout the game while also requiring a good amount of skill to play (no braindead champs) lane doesn't matter as I'm flexible but I mostly play Mid or JG. Any help is appreciated and pls no troll posts
