when do you think league's gonna reset?

so other people on another thread were talking about a hard reset deleting 60% and more of the current champs, and i agree with that, but we're talking 2017-2019

what do you think will happen when this game will just be uncontrollable? because lets be honest this game has been popular for a long time, but it starts to stink to all, pros and noobs.

without repeating the obvious flaws (balance ridicolous, pathetic new player experience, ban and chat restricted systems laughable, etc.), when do you think the shit will hit the fan?

i for one say 2017, let's hope for a better league in that time, shan't we?

Never? Even if they make LOL 2, they will probably port all the champions.

whats the point of porting all the old champs? can't u see the game is breaking itself apart? it's just a matter of time

...onviously, since eventually a LoL2 game would have different core data/mechanics/stuff, then the champions will be ported to something different.

also lol breaking itself apart is, like, your opinion man.

my opinion? lol, you can't see that they're using bandages and first aid kits everywhere on an already dead man? imho they should just let him die and raise a new child

Then you don't really understand the point of a live updating multiplayer game. They will constantly need to make changes, it's just how the genre of game works

LoL would be better off giving you a set of champions each season to work with, balancing those along the way. Instead you have a huge champion pool that causes more stress the bigger it gets. With champions not being played because they aren't "meta"

Think of MTG. Yes they infact have competive game types that allow use of pretty much every card ever printed, but each new year is presented with a new set of cards that is used for "standard"

By allowing some old champions and a few new ones as the main gameplay in a given year causes strategies to develope based purely on whats on the table. While they can still have a "classic" league running at the same time that allows for all champions to be used. Their primary Professional scene doesn't change too much as you can consider the new years bag of tricks as the "meta".

Basically what they do now, except you remove most of the nonsense that needs help so you can focus on balancing smaller groups of champions. Point is MTG is the best TCG for a reason. If I don't like what's in standard that year I can easily go play my favorite cards in another game type until my playstyle becomes relevant again.

I can't imagine them "deleting" champions when people might have spent RP on those champions. I could see them launching a more competitive sequel to LoL dedicated to ESports in which only so many champions would exist and possibly rotate on a seasonal basis.

Nope.

The closest Riot will come to deleting a champion is a total rework. Some argue that Karma was deleted, but we still have a champion by that name with some mechanics vaguely similar to the originals.

When people talk about hard resets in League, they're talking about your Ranked MMR, not deleting champions.
