soo i played vlad before and after his rework, and i personaly try to like him, but its just so hard to do so... so i was asking myself, why the heck does he feel like somebody shot him in the knee so now i ask, why do people say that he s the MOST broken champ in the mage patch, and i cant get one time a good game with him, honestly i think the most fun was in ascension, because the fights there were fast and shit, i mean i never survived longer then maybe 4 kills or so becuse the sustain was just so bad, but what makes him now broken

every build i read said do this, do that so pls somebody tell me is he rly this op? and how do you play the way he has to be op <.< im about to cry because i loved vlad this much and i just cant find a way to be good with this, i get bullyd out of lane after reaching lvl 6-8 i guess, is he now a the new class the lvl 1-3 carrie, winning lane for 4 mins of game, and then there is a secret build that allows you to instantly in the game or how? BUT i have to say i now win every lane vs vlad, i won with rly fucked up shit vs vlads, a taric vs vlad i outsustained him with lvl1 heal, and that so hard that the guy was getting camp all game from his buddy and kept losing if that is how he is op now then well done i can out sustain with tarics lvl 1 1 time charged heal a vlad

ok jokes aside, pls tell me what to do and why he is broken need the secret and i am tired of googling because i simly cant find fun in the words vlad rework and op

He is not OP. In fact he has been nerfed very hard in terms of damage and reliability of abilities.

Its better for the new Vlad to build Health (while a little bit of AP here and there) because most of his power has been repackaged into his E which mostly scales off health (10% of your health is always far greater than 70% of your AP if you build health).

In lane, just sit back and last hit with autos and Qs. Do not use E early except for the very occasional last hits (and for all-ins) otherwise you will kill yourself over time. Try to land the empowered Qs on the enemy but if he walks away, just use it on a minion for a last hit. Hopefully, you will get an empowered Q every 2nd Q if you keep using Q to last hit/harass and can get into a Rhythm. DO NOT all in them unless you have a clear advantage. In lane, Vlad just wants to farm. If the enemy misplays or happens to get poked down, you can go all in. But in most games, just farm. If you take damage, you can heal it back over time. Do NOT over-extend unless your team is winning, the enemy laner roams or you know where the enemy jungler is.

A good general rule of thumb is

Early game: fight with Qs, E should be snap-shot fired (click and let go immediately) and only very occasionally

Late game: fight with Es (while spamming Qs in between), E becomes your main source of damage but don't use it against tanks with MR without a numbers advantage or else you'll kill yourself faster than you kill them. Be careful and sensitive about how much to charge E.

Building health gives you TONS of firepower in your charged Es (making it a very high damage ability) but its only worth it if you use E wisely and when you manage to land them.

I try to have Hextech Belt and Rylais built by the mid game before transitioning to a heavy Health build (Spirit Visage, Lyandry's, Warmogs). This way in the mid game, you can launch plays with the Dash and the slows. Dash + Ult + Empowered Q on a poked down enemy will usually get you a kill. Rylais is a very important item for Vlad to get really fast because it allows him to become a walking enemy Slow machine with his targeted Qs.

Late game, kite around with Qs and in all-ins walk in and spam E tactically (against squishes, usually not against tanks). You should have tons of health (from Warmogs and Visage, and every other item from before) but don't get over-confident because each cast of E will take 10% of the total health (high risk, high reward).

Wave Clear: Vlad's old wave clear is gone and now he's bad at it. Early game just use half-charged Es and clean up with Qs; if you find yourself losing more health than you're gaining, just auto and Q after one half-charged E. Late game you can do a full charged E but make sure you use lots of Qs after to get your health back.

you know first thanks, i go and give this a try, but im sad, tp read this is basicly as i would talk to a doctor about my friend who was robbed on the streets and was stabbed into his spine, he has to tell me that my friend will propably never walk again, and must now use a weelchair, <.< srsly this is how i read this, i dont know what do you think would be a buff that would give him the word fun back? cause with old vlad, i was like healing with every q 400-500 hp back ( at the end with will of the ancient, spellvamp runes, visage and stacked e) which was like rly awesome, and i would like heal tons with my e, also the pool would heal me if i use it and hit more then 3 enemys, <.< i mean it was a good time i heal now with my qs 90 hp ( with basicly end build maybe even 100) and i do not rly survive the time to rly use empowered q more then one time) the empowered q would heal for 500 hp or so which is old basic q heal and i mean i had this with 3k hp and 300-400 ap considered how i start building

with morrelos bufffed i heal not even that, everybody buys this now because its such a good item and i come out with a heal that is so low i never rly saw any hp coming back to me,

question btw what masterys do i pack? the end masterie would be enough thank you

Vlad is basically just garbage now (One of the lowest winrates in the game.) He was fun, and now hes not. You get all this HP and end up spending all of it on E and dont get a meaningful heal to replenish what you spend. Yeah, His ULT heals now, but it used to anyway with Will of the Ancients. Basically His E does more now, but you could probably spam 2 of his old E's in the same time it takes to charge and cast the new one (and have no creep block/ be able to cast Q's with out canceling his E that now has to charge up)

Show me any champion right now and I'll show you a vlad counter. It hurt taking out wota but that wasn't enough, they had to nerf his damage across the board. And then that wasn't enough so they gave him some of the most counterbalance mechanics in game.

Personally I think the talk about him comes from the fact that the champ was so misunderstood. Good vlad players didn't generally build 'tanky' and items like sv were always situational at best. This frustrated players who got beat by a high damage sustain mage with low cds. It also frustrated some of those same players who tried to follow the guides and build a low damage tank mage.

It's mostly those latter players who never understood his mechanics I think that see this huge nerf as an improvement.

it wouldnt hurt to give vlad alternative build paths, i mean he needs a q change for sure, and i like the idea of vlad paying 5% i mena in urf he was great, low cd made him heal actually something even with 50% less heal on emowered heal, BUT you see the main problem

he doesnt heal with his w and he doesnt weith his e

if you go infinite pool you die because you can pull that maybe 3-4 times if you time good and gheal no hp back, you pay just too much,

so maybe 5% hp costs or so and then maybe less dmg and no creep block on e q more base heal like add a low % heal or something, he needs it as he is now,
i can even tell why i play him now as main support champ he has good dmg, but tanky enemys and shit will kill you off, aswell as assasins or other mages so supp because you focus on dealing qs, and so on you can build targons for heal on cs, which feels great, his e is a good zoning tool, and his uklt is great woth champs who have execute ults like jinx, or even lucien

as support you have an easy laning phase which doesnt feel shitty and frustrating, i rly mean it, and i mean his ult could heal per second a bit, like you hit 5 enemys and you gain hp regen, for an higher ammount, over the 5 sec duration, this makes him as a tank good, and encurages him to go tanky also i got a nice build in which you can go supp and do not lose so much dmg, you function more as a utility supp then a cc or tank supp, item 3009 item 2053 this can be build into zz, or ohmwrecker, you chose, zz for more mr, and the creeps who can hold and push bot if you want to leave it, and ohm if you wish to dive and want more cd and hp both give you good hp regen, which is welcome to high hp costs, also you are fast as hell i mean like 450 ms that feels as vlad good and helps to land empowered qs, that also makes you able toengage and its a cheap way to get what you need

item 3097 as supp item is almost as you would buy spellvamp at the start, you heal good and heal adc, it gives cd hp and a sheald which is good laater on to survive to the next pool item 3116 this is core slows hp ap item 3742 ms hp armor, great chasing tool, this build says go fast or go home, you want to chase enemys down and make them agressiv towards you, so they go at you, you are fats and ccan outplay them under turrets even their own because of ohm

the last item is youre thing tto choose, i would say go with item 3065 if you want, gives cd, hp more heal, mr all in all a good thing to choose, however, also good is warmogs BUT here the thing i would LOVE to have this item here in sritem 3084 it should need like 10% cdr, because that would make it awesome, and here now why this item gives hp, it gives battleheal, which is the best thing, it gives a good ammount of hp to make you bulk and so on, in total this item would improve vlad soooo much

so guys what do you think, is this build good?
