Is Hextech Crafting Worth the money?

Hello, my name Is Carson, and I was just wondering if you guys think hextech crafting would be worth it for me. I have 55/138 Champs, And I have these skins: Foxfire Ahri, Whitebeard Ryze, Guardian of the Sands Kha'Zhix, Chosen Master Yi, Pool Party Lee Sin, Void Nocturne, Definetly Not Udyr, and General Wukong. I want champs more than skins right now tbh. But I don't think buying champs with rp is very smart. And I spend all my ip on runes. So I would just like to know what you guys think ;) -BaconWalrus101

I mean, it's worth it if you get what you want, and not worth it if you get stuff you don't want. :P I recently dropped $35 on League, and spent it all on hextech stuff. I ended up getting Dragon Trainer Tristana (yay!!!), Alien Invader Heimerdinger, Mecha Zero Sion, PROJECT: Leona, and Spirit Guard Udyr. 3 legendaries, 1 ultimate, and 1 1350rp skin.

Stats wise, completely worth it. I also really wanted Dragon Trainer Trist and PROJECT: Leona, so that's a huge bonus. As for the Udyr skin, I don't play Udyr, and bought him just to use the skin, so even though I didn't necessarily want it, that skin alone is worth the $35 I paid.

Beware though, hextech crafting is addicting af.

Honestly? You're better off getting IP boosts if you're wanting to spend real money. Getting a lot of champs quickly is really quite pointless if you aren't playing them enough to be good with them. Then once you've settled on champs you like, you can get a few cool skins instead of a bunch of junk you probably don't even want/use.

Homestly, after about 1-2 months of starting league, I decided to buy champs with RP (only the ones on sales and with IP of course). Now that there's hextech crafting and champion shards that you can get with IP, I would only use RP to buy skins. As for the hextech chest, I sometime buy them if I feel like I want to test my luck. I got a hextech annie skin shard for just $5. Fuck gemstones lol. Whether you feel like they are worth buying or not is up to you.

If you want every champ and only want to use IP, you might be finished by Season 9. You have to use RP if you want to buy all champions. Grinding for IP takes way too long. Just wait for the champs to come on sale and buy them. The only other option is to buy double boosts next party IP week and get ready to do nothing buy play for a few days.

Hextech Chests are gambling. If you just want skins, mystery gifting yourself is the best option as you will get guaranteed skins. If you want specific skins, do not use chests, either buy them flat out or be ready to spend a ton of cash and be disappointed. Remember, Hextech chests do not give you skins. They give you skin shards. And the more rare the skin, the more orange essence it takes. Some of them are 1500-1800 Essence and you will need to sell a lot of shards to afford those. I bought about $85 worth of Augment and Hextech chests and would have gotten more bang for my buck if I had mystery gifted myself.
