Yorrick Needs A light nerf

Gonna be quick, so many games solo carried by underfed yorrick players. His split push is so strong with demolish and his ult that seems to always be up. Mages can't do anything about him except maybe kill his ult but that doesn't help when you have to burn 4-5 abilities to kill it during a team fight cause your team is most likely dead by then due to lack of damage from you. And if he isn't shredding turrets top lane hes tearing up a teamfight because adcs are really the only ones that can kill him properly. Now lets say for example hes not fed but he has tons of cs due to split pushing... constantly.... ughhh... he joins the team fights mid-late game and doesnt die to anyone but adcs, the odds of actually killing him are so low and if you cant he can push to your nexus by himself in a matter of basic attacks (OBVIOUSLY exaggerating but thats what it feels like everytime i see him in game). What I have witnessed is unless you completely roll over him early game (which makes everyone pretty useless) he's nearly unstoppable.

All that being said I don't think he should be nerfed to never be used again but either something done to his survivability in team fights to give a bit of reward for actually targetting him.... or slow down his pushing a bit cause having tier 1 and 2 turrets gone at 15 because the other top laner left lane once seems a bit too fast.

jjust sayin it's unlikely, he did just get a slight nerf a few patches ago and people were kicking and screaming

slight nerf... you mean, that 25% damage reduction of his ghouls which completely destroyed his early game and made him utterly garbage above than Gold elo.

That nerf was a masterpiece about the incompetence of the balance team

As a silver scrub, doesn't really bother me because as Riot said they balance 90% for high ELO anyway. But sure I can understand why people who play Yorick would be upset

Funny thing that, Riot nerfed him exclusively for low elo. He had ~60% win rate in Bronze and ~53 % in plat+.

As you remember, Riot said in patchnotes : "Players who understand the Mist Walkers' behavior and actively play around it avoid a lot of damage, while players who don't find themselves digging their own graves."

So they nerfed him cuz low elo ppl didn't know him :D IMO it's a joke. And the way they nerfed him was an other one.

Ironically, he is still too powerful in low elo, not because his damage but his objective oriented design. In high elo where ppl play around objectives, not for kills and KDA, he becomes useless.

im aware ... that's why i said i didn't care that yorick was nerfed, because im in low elo andd they do much of the patching for high elo.

he was nerfed for fucking bronze. his strength in low elo was the official justification for trashing his passive. can you blame them?

imagine your champion gets nerfed despite being balanced, because the bottom of the barrel garbage ass trash players cant deal with him.

it's not really like that. In order for the game to be balanced at different skill levels there need to be different rules and adjustments for different ELOs. Try not to think about it as trash vs non trash, it's just a game and it also needs to consider subjective things like player experiece.

its exactly like that.

youre impairing everyones ability to play the champion, because the trash players who are literally the worst of the worst to the point that they dont even understand basic mechanics cant handle him.

the game isnt meant to be balanced at all elos. you couldnt do it even if you tried. because the problem at low elos isnt the game, but the players. individual players can improve and then climb. there is literally no reason to buff or nerf champions around bad play.

Don't mean this to be rude but basically Yorick is only strong when his opponent doesn't know what to do. The last time he was needlessly nerfed, it was stated that it was because people didn't understand his kit at lower elos. He was nerfed and while its not a big difference in lower elo, it pretty much made him useless above Gold elo.

Rather than asking for nerfs for a near useless champion, look up how to deal with him instead.

Few pointers: His Ghouls die in 1 auto attack or single-target ability, but take 33% reduced damage from AoE abilities (idr the exact % actually). Dodge his E, the thing he throws at you, and he is useless... He literally can't do anything if he misses that. His W (the circle wall) at early levels takes 2 AA's to kill and he maxes it last majority of the time. His Maiden can be cheesed, its AI can bug out a lot and cause it to either ignore you after a certain point or it will follow you forever until it reaches a turret. Abuse that. Yorick is at his weakest in teamfights UNLESS he is already fed. He needs to have his Ghouls in order to actually fight and that can be difficult when his teammates are taking CS. Yorick is weak to kiting unless he lands his E and W, so if you can get out of his W quickly he can't do anything.

I'm not saying destroy him I'm saying nerf some of his pushing ability at least early game so he can't punish quite so hard for the top laner leaving once.

Nerf him for doing the only thing he can do well? I mean nearly every top-tier Top lane champion pushes just as hard or better, Tryndamere and Jax are way worse because they push a lot better and are way better at dueling.

It isn't Yorick, its Top lane. That is how it works, you leave for extended amount of time, like dying, and your turret is gone. Yorick is just at the upper levels of pushing, but by no means is he the best at it and he pays for it by being near useless in all other aspects.
