The sad thing about Riot's changes.

So recently Riot has fucked up the overall game, CDR in almost every item (please i want some in the 350g boots), Removal of SoloQ resulting in forcing of DynamicQ down our throats, Removal of Dominion instead of working on it.

Now you know what's sad?

is that no matter how many of us leave even the pro's they won't fall, because the game is casual. anyone basically can play it even with a toaster and its appealing to kids "DynamicQ wow i'll invite my school buddies and we will bring hell upon the veterans".

The new account vs AI queue is one of the shortest i've ever seen (just goes to show that new people enter League everyday) and that's why Riot doesn't care about us :) i've been playing LoL since the launch of the almighty Draven back in June/July 2012 and i just loved the game back then... now it has turn into shit, but hey you know what Riot does right?

Skins.

PS: Just remembered what thing is also sad

League is a Drug. it gets people addicted, i can say that i will Quit but i'll find myself opening the client, entering my details and just checking around the game without even knowing it in my head, i really want to love league and play league and Quit league, but i can't.. because its a drug.

I've been playing League of Legends since just before the release of Xin Zhao, myself. Change, even sometimes drastic change, is what has kept this game so popular and highly rated. It keeps from a game getting stale, but look at it from Riot's point of view;

'Dominion' was one of their least popular game modes, often the queue times for it were ~10-15 minutes just to find a match, and even if you did happen to find a match, ~7/10 players or more were bots. Same thing is kind of happening to Twisted Treeline now, as well... and ARAM. All Dominion did was act as a Bot farm. It was an inherently imbalanced game mode that required more work than it was worth to fix, due to it's unpopularity in comparison with the Rift.

'Solo Queue' was a problem. We all know this. Solo Queue was complained about for years before Riot implemented Dynamic Queue, and that's just the plain truth of it. Riot intorudcted 'Dynamic Queue' as a solution to the problems that Solo Queue had complained about the most, which was "being put with feeders and trolls and toxic players", as well as a combination of the community asking Riot for a queue where they could pre-select their role before entering Champion Select, which was an idea asked by the community for many years as well.

Personally? I agree with Riot's decision to permanently remove Solo Queue. Even though people are going to hate that decision, they'll come to understand eventually and realize that Dynamic Queue works in the exact same way as Solo Queue, with the exception of up to 3, 4 & 5 man premades and pre-role selection.

whats the problem with cdr?

the only issue i really see is that the stat is accessible to ad carries in the same build as ad, armor pen, attack speed, crit and lifesteal.

its a caster stat. the main multiplier for mages, supports, tanks, assassins and certain bruisers. a lot of classes are spell oriented, so cdr is a stat that is available on a lot of items.

its what crit and attack speed is for adc, for most of the champion pool.

i really only disagree with this thing item 3508 existing.

No, the sad thing is their reasoning behind there statistics. It is highly flawed.

They didn't take independent variables and isolated them:

Teambuilder, Dominion, and SoloQ all removed at the same time and DynamicQ was added. They found more people playing ranked than ever before. (Gee Wonder why.. I bet if they removed Aram and TT as well, it would've went up even more!!) They are tampering with too many variables at one time to have an accurate reading as to why more people are playing ranked now than before.

Also, they mentioned toxicity was lowered far more than they could ever imagine possible. Well no fucking shit, you have most of your players communicating with 3rd party programs like Skype, Curse, Teamspeak etc. So of course you are going to see less toxic chat.

My third problem is they havn't released any data about the growth or decline... of their player base in over 2 years!! http://www.riotgames.com/tags/player-numbers If they were still growing, wouldn't they want to keep bragging about it?
