Supporting Vayne's: Help

Man, I've been raged a lot by every freaking Vayne's I support, that now when I have to support a Vayne, I tilt every time.

Someone takes Vayne's, and that's the end of the world for me.

Not only for the ragers, but for the bad experience of people that are starting with her. I prefer to support a freaking Teemo (I swear) than a Vayne. I even lost motivation to play that round for the Vayne.

If I take Thresh, I don't trust my Vayne to do an all-in combo like a Lucian or a Jinx will do.

If I take Lulu, my Vayne doesn't know what the shields are.

If I take Janna, it will be a hell of a boring farming-lane (and watching the Vayne farming is boring as hell, yes, because I will poke alone meanwhile they farm, isn't like other adc's that can poke too).

If I ban the Vayne, the adc that declared that champion will start raging.

I don't like tanky supports (except Taric, but he has lots of cd's to support that champion), and Leona.

I freakin tilt and I don't know what I should do to support that creepy "I farm all game" champions and win lane with them.

Any tips??? -___-

Vayne is a masochist adc, you need to survive until late game without giving too much advantage to your enemy adc. In late game tho she is unstoppable

Vayne is only useful in the hands of skilled players. Clearly you are in low elo because you only see bad Vaynes.

Eh, in general, you should just let her farm till she gets level 6, that's pretty much the powerspike that gives you and her the freelo you need. Don't force anything unless you have already poked down people hard enough, which isn't the case unless that Vayne is either a mad genius, or the enemies are just kind of stupid.

As a diehard Lulu support main myself, getting a Vayne is almost always freelo unless she has absolutely no idea on what the hell is a backline enchanter. Pre-6 I would poke just enough for the enemies to back off so that she can farm, though smarter ones actually try to land a few trades because Pix + Vayne in general is pretty OP. Post-6, wait till she ults, let her "tank", throw E and R on her, and save whimsy for either follow-ups or back-ups. You want to avoid going ballsdeep with kills pre-6 because in most cases, she's not going to get kills without that ult powerspike. Same goes for Janna.

If anything, you want to let her do the tanking, or even just let her get in trouble (shit always happens) and shine from there.

Also, patience. You need it. No, really. It's pretty much the same rule for most ADCs that need the level 6 powerspike.

Nami and Sona are not at all bad ones to deal with Vayne, so... have fun.

I support a vayne main sometimes. I actually don't mind babysitting champs, but I also play Sona typically. That way I can play aggressive or simply just heal them up to farm.

I actually dislike supporting overly aggressive champions that want a kill though. Typically one mistake leads to both of our deaths. I rather just poke them down until level 6 and if a kill presents itself then we respond.

I will say though, Vayne is just a high skill cap ADC and a lot of people who begin playing Vayne don't understand that or think the she can be aggressive like other ADCs. I play normals a lot to practice support and some of the ADCs are simply terrible and most vayne's in normals are really bad with her.

You may want to try Sona since she can babysit and be aggressive or another mage like Lux or Morg. I also don't really play tank supports, because I like to have some sense of agency in the lane. As a tank support feel too dependent on the adc to respond and I don't feel the same way when I play a mage.

I'd pick Nami, she's fun to play, has a lot of poke (so you don't have to just sit in lane and watch the Vayne farm) and can all in lvl 6 well too. You basically just poke the enemies yourself all the time, while sustaining any damage dealt to you/Vayne, and if you want to go in you bubble them+ebb and flow+ e on vayne (which has great synergy with her silverbolts), and then ult for disengage (if something goes wrong) or to knock them up for the last autoattacks

I'm more than happy to support a vayne that wants to safely farm and then decides to fight when she hits her spike. But no. The majority of the vayne shot lords that I get to support go ham vs stuff like Lucian Leona or draven thresh and then flame me because I immediately backed off and pinged her away during the fight that she started ! I dunno man the majority of vayne players I get don't seem to acknowledge how weak vayne is early or power spikes or matchup knowledge. Nope. Just go ham and exect me to either bail them out or somehow outplay the Lucian / Leona at lv 2-3. Like why not just play passive until u grab a small item or when u hit 6 where u are actually very strong and me the support (lv6 zilean op)

I always have the problem that the Vayne thinks they are in the late game already and want to go ham even though they have no damage. Personally, I take Soraka in that kind of lane cause I can at least heal her up if she tries to make a big play that fails or takes too much poke. I can poke decently with Starcall and dropping a silence under the ADC or Support depending on who's abilities are the bigger threat to her.

Nami is another good one but she isn't as strong since her heal isn't something you can consistently spam. If you can land a good bubble though, most Vaynes can at least get the tumble in and 2 autos for that ability.

If your Vayne can farm, all the more power to you. Just keep them alive and let them be that late game threat.

Vayne is a short ranged ADC, not because her AA range is so low, but because she has no spells that allow her to deal damage outside of her AA range. For example, Lucian can harrass with his Q, Idem for Cait, Kalista, Ez, Jhin. Etc.

If she can get her 3 AA's off, her damage is not even that bad. The champion in general will outscale most ADC's. Which is why Vayne's like to farm early on. Why would you risk dying in lane if you can play it safe, and become stronger than your lane opponent because you're Vayne?

try to find out when your vayne will like to engage or go someone like lux. safe pokes and enough utility to keep babysitting vayne. not sure if this is what you were looking for so if i'm heading in the wrong direction just tell me.
